Basement Waterproofing in Clinton, IA

Before: The basement walls of this Peru, IL, home were in a state of severe distress, bowing inward under the relentless hydrostatic pressure of the surrounding soil. Large horizontal cracks and frowning masonry indicated that the structure was nearing a critical failure point, leaving the homeowner in a constant state of anxiety over a potential cave-in. These unsightly worry lines were a clear warning sign that the home’s foundation was losing its battle against the elements and required immediate intervention to prevent a total collapse.

After: Under the expert direction of Foreman Brian Lopez, our team at MidAmerica Basement Systems transformed the failing space into a model of structural integrity using the GeoLock Wall Anchor and PowerBrace systems. By anchoring into stable soil and reinforcing the interior with high-strength steel beams, we successfully neutralized the external pressure. The formerly leaning walls are now standing tall and true, replacing years of wall woes with a solid, secure foundation and providing the homeowner with long-awaited peace of mind.

Leaking, Bowing Walls are Stabilized and Waterproofed in Hanover, IL

Dave and Tammy have renters in their second home, and were alerted when the basement started leaking. They reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the home inspected, and hopefully come up with a solution. Joe not only offered them a solution of WaterGuard and a SuperSump to waterproofing the basement, but brought attention the bowing wall. He suggested that a PowerBrace system be installed to permanently stabilized the wall and prevent any future worsening. The PowerBraces also offer the option of tightening the I-Beam and potentially straighten the wall back to normal. Dave and Tammy’s tenants can now live in a waterproofed, stable home.
