Iowa City homeowners were really fed up with the water leaking into their basement. Wisely, the gave the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems a call. Ken and Brenda had recently purchased a new home with a finished basement, and quickly realized that their basement wasn’t properly waterproofed. After the carpet have become saturated with water and drywall warped, they frantically called MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their problem resolved. Wes was inspecting their issue and had pointed out that small holes were drilled into the foundation to let the water in, but was left to go nowhere. He suggested having WaterGuard installed so when water did enter the holes, it was properly directed to the sump pump. Now with a proper drainage system installed in their basement, Ken and Brenda can remodel and no longer worry of water damage to their home.
David was noticing excessive moisture levels in his basement, but didn’t know where it was coming from. He looked around the area thinking he had a leak and needed to have his basement waterproofed. When the design specialist, Wes of MidAmerica Basement Systems assessed his basement, it was discovered that the moisture was coming from David’s untreated crawlspace. Wes offered a permanent sealing option for the crawlspace called CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a thick liner that seals the exposed ground completely off from the rest of the crawlspace. The puncture- and tear-resistant material provides a moisture barrier, increasing the longevity of the home and decreasing the humidity and moisture levels. David has noticed a significant reduction in moisture levels in his basement thanks to a complete crawlspace encapsulation with CleanSpace.
