Ray and Lynn were noticing excessive amounts of moisture in their basement, but couldn’t figure out where the issue was coming from. They reached out to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their mysterious issue resolved. During inspection, Chris addressed the source of the issue from the untreated crawlspace. Completely sealing off the exposed ground from the crawlspace will prevent moisture from entering the area and the basement. Using CleanSpace to encapsulate the area provides the proper seal necessary for the job. SilverGlo insulation was also installed to help keep the area insulated, and vent covers were placed along the vent openings to the outside. Moisture levels are back in control at Ray and Lynn’s home.
Jeff was concerned about the large foundation crack on his garage slab. In the past couple of years, it had gotten bigger, and new cracks started appearing. He was unsure of how to have the issue addressed and contacted the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. Dan offered Jeff the solution of NexusPro Joint Sealant. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant to has been engineered for long-lasting flexibility. The sealant won’t crack, bubble or dry like typical sealants, allowing the sealant to move and shift with the natural movement of the ground. Because of the flexibility, Jeff will no longer worry about the cracks becoming bigger or longer.
