Terri had heard about Radon and the harmful effects it has on her and her family. She called MidAmerica Basement Systems to have a test kit sent to her to determine her results, and when she received her results, she was in utter shock. She had readings reaching 31.8 pCi/L, with EPA recommendations being 4 pCi/L. With serous readings, she was in desperate needs of a Radon Mitigation System. All cracks and holes were sealed off, allowing for the mitigation system to properly pull the Radon from under the home, and back outside the home. Trevor had recently purchased a home with a finished basement, and he was very glad to know that the basement had a sump pump, or so he thought. After a large rain, he began to notice a wet floor, which was very concerning because he thought the sump pump had failed. WaterGuard was then installed along the perimeter of the basement to collect any seeping wall and floor water, preventing it from surfacing. Once water is collected, and is then redirected to a SuperSump and UltraSump systems to be properly discharged from the basement.

The dirt and brick flooring of this 125 year old basement was damp and soggy from erosion over time. To capitalize on the space and keep the interior dry, design specialist Fred Romane recommended full encapsulation. It looks amazing!
