Bill was having issues with a foundation leak repair, leaking once again only months after it was applied. He reached out to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his repair checked and properly fixed. Due to the common sealant that was originally injected in the crack, it had dried and shrank, leaving the sealant to crack and break. The old sealant was replaced with FlexiSpan injections to properly adhere and seal the crack. FlexiSpan is a high-density polyurethane sealant that flexes and expands with the natural movement of the earth and foundation of the home, giving the permanent bond necessary for crack. FlexiSpan prevents the crack from worsening and seals the area from moisture and water seepage, leaving the basement dry.
Scott was concerned about his unlevel driveway. Some areas had sunk leaving tripping hazards, making it unsafe for his children to play basketball in the driveway. He needed to level the area and when he saw his neighbors installing PolyLevel from MidAmerica Basement Systems, he quickly contacted them. Cole evaluated the driveway and talked about the advantages of PolyLevel. The high-density polymers quickly react to fill voids and lift the concrete with accurate results. The quick reactions prevent under- and over-lifting of the slabs, and allowing for the injected area to be accessed within minutes of application. NexusPro Joint Sealant was than applied to all the cracks to seal them from future rainfall. Diverting the water away from the ground under the concrete, helps creates a longer-lasting level and stable driveway.
Mark and Shawn recently purchased a home with a finished basement and were told not to worry about it becoming damaged because a sump pump had been installed. One day after a heavy rain, they began to notice water seeping in around the corner of the basement, making the floors and walls wet. When they looked deeper into the issue, large damage was found behind the drywall. Mark and Shawn quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to address the issue. CleanSpace Liner was installed along the concrete foundation to help control the moisture issues and WaterGuard was installed along the floor and wall joint to collect the seeping water and help redirect it to the existing sump pump. Now Mark and Shawn have a proper waterproofing system that will prevent future damage to the finished basement.
Homeowners Jessica and Jeremy have lived in their home for the last year and a half and the home was built in the 1970's. They were interested in having their crawlspace encapsulated after experiencing water in their home. The water was causing mold to grow and they feared what would come next. They were concerned that the water could lead to further damage. They reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about the option they had and what was going to be best for their home. The crawlspace was fully encapsulated with CleanSpace technology. The CleanSpace is a thick pool liner that is used to create a water barrier. The CleanSpace will also keep out humidity and bugs and insects.
