Iris was having an issue of water coming into her basement, but because she had a finished basement, the leak had gone unnoticed until it was too late. The drywall had started to warp and grow mold. Members from MidAmerica Basement Systems installed CleanSpace behind the drywall to provide a moisture barrier between the drywall and foundation wall. CleanSpace is a thick liner that helps prevent water and moisture from entering, while directing it away from the drywall, and into the existing waterproofing system.
Terry was having issues with water leaking in through his foundation cracks, leaving him with large messes. He had a working sump pump, but because water was coming in through the walls, it was leaving the floor wet. Bryan, design specialist from MidAmerica Basement Systems, offered the installation of CleanSpace, WaterGuard, EverLast Windows, and a TripleSafe. Installing new EverLast Windows provides a tighter seal between the outside and inside, keeping water from leaking in the window sills. WaterGuard and CleanSpace provide tracks for seeping water from the foundation walls, directing it to the sump pump. The TripleSafe sump discharges any water that enters the home.
Siobahn was having issues with water leaking into her basement, leaving it an unusable space in her home. She contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement waterproofed so she could eventually finish the area. Design specialist Bryan had offered her a waterproofing system that would keep her basement dry, but also offered Total Basement Finishing products. EverLast Wall Panels and ThermalDry Flooring were installed in the basement, providing a unique waterproof feature. Having the inorganic material prevents mold growth, warping, rotting, chipping or any type of damage that can come from water. Trim and ceilings were also installed to provide finishing touches. Siobahn now has a dry, finished basement that she can use as extra space in her home.
Seana was having doubts about installing a radon mitigation system. All the companies she talked with couldn’t provide her with a solution to address her high radon levels. She was giving up hope and decided to get one more estimate with MidAmerica Basement Systems. To her relief, she was finally given a successful and effective radon mitigation system. Her crawlspace needed to be completely sealed off from the exposed dirt so CleanSpace was installed. CleanSpace is a thick liner that permanently seals the ground from the rest of the crawlspace. After installing the radon mitigation system, the gas was effectively pulled from under the home and released back outside, leaving the indoor air quality safer for Seana to breathe.
WaterGuard is a non-clogging alternative to other piping systems that sit in soil. WaterGuard is places in around the perimeter of your home to help assist your sump pump in keeping water out.
