Rose of Davenport called MidAmerica Basement Systems when she noticed water was getting into her basement. She met with design specialist Dustin Shepard shortly after her call. Dustin designed a custom basement solution for Rose that was rife with waterproofing products, and also included the beautiful EverLast Wall Restoration, seen in the after picture.
Dan of Davenport, IA needed to get the lower level of a rental property he owns waterproofed. The garden apartment had water coming in through the walls. Dan worked with MidAmeirca Basement Systems design specialist Mike Banks to get the space waterproofed, and later finished with EverLast Wall. The images show the installation of the sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard.
Homes are not the only buildings that can be affected by basement water damage. Businesses of all sizes can be affected just as well like Genesis Health in Davenport. Over time, the basement in the health center had begun to leak along the bottom of the foundation wall, causing mold to grow. A TripleSafe, WaterGuard, and CleanSpace were installed to address the water issue. CleanSpace was placed over and above the area leaking area to prevent moisture from entering in the air. Water is than collected and directed to the sump pump by WaterGuard. Once the water reached the TripleSafe sump, it is than discharged from the area, keeping the area dry.
Jay was having issues with an unlevel driveway and quickly contacted the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. He was offered PolyLevel to lift, level and stabilize the sinking concrete. Small holes were drilled into the slabs to allow for injection of the material, filling to voids and lifting to concrete. Once the concrete was lifted, the PolyLevel quickly hardened to provide a permanent and stable hold. NexusPro Joint Sealant was than applied to all the cracks along the driveway to prevent future washouts and to protected both the treated and untreated areas from water. NexusPro is a flexible sealant that moves and shifts with the natural movement of the ground.
Britauna was in the process of replacing her old carpet flooring with laminate when she noticed that her slab foundation had begun to sink. She quickly reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. PolyLevel was offered to lift and stabilize the sinking slab for the home owner. The high-density polymers have a lifting force of 2,000 to 4,000 pounds per square foot, allowing for the structure of the home to be properly lifted. The 1 to 2 inch gaps quickly began to vanish, filling the voids under the foundation and lifting the floor back up against the floor vents. The expansion of the PolyLevel effectively stabilized the slab, allowing for the homeowner to continue her new flooring process. Britauna no longer has issues with large gaps between the floor and the walls thanks to PolyLevel.
