Our System Design Specialist, Chris Hebbel, inspected the site and designed a custom stabilization plan using PolyLevel®—a high-strength polyurethane foam injected under the concrete to lift and level it permanently. Project Foreman Justin Maddox and crew member Tanner took over the production, seamlessly executing the injection process. They lifted the sunken slabs back to their original position and cleared away those pesky trip hazards for good.
Fast forward to the finished job: the walkway is perfectly level, steady, and beautiful. Navigating the front door no longer requires the awkward hyper-vigilance of walking around in your socks. Thanks to Chris, Justin, and Tanner, the home's front entrance is officially safe, stable, and welcome-mat approved!
Notice in the photo the uneven concrete surface that created a hazardous trip point for this Walcott, Iowa homeowner. With aging concrete and property safety top of mind, our team stepped in to provide a permanent, engineered fix.
System Design Specialist Ryan Nolen first evaluated the property to pinpoint the cause of the settlement and mapped out a precise restoration plan. From there, our expert production crew, led by Foreman Chris Allen and featuring crew member Markell, took over execution.
First, the team utilized our PolyLevel® system to lift and level the sunken concrete slabs efficiently, stabilizing the subgrade underneath and completely eliminating the trip hazard. Once the slabs were perfectly flush, Chris and Markell applied NexusPro® Joint Sealant across the joints to ensure the surface remains completely water-resistant and resilient against future shifting or cracking.

When comparing the TripleSafe sump pump unit and other sump pump systems, the choice can be somewhat obvious. However, the TripleSafe is more than just good looks. At a glance, the older sump pump system does not have a lid and TripleSafe does. Why does the TripleSafe have a lid? Why does it matter?
The TripleSafe has an airtight lid with an airtight drain system in the lid. The lid's genius design is constructed to allow water to go down but does not allow water back up. Protecting the system from debris (and other likely objects) from falling in clogging the pump or switch. The lid also quiets the system. The lid is also equipped with the WaterWatch alarm system that sounds off in the event of a potential flood in the space. The TripleSafe is by far superior to the homeowner’s old system making the basement and homeowner happier.
Homeowners Norman recently contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about the concrete repair options offered. His pool deck was sinking and cracking and it was a trip hazard. He decided that it was time to have the concrete looked at. The polyurethane is pumped under the concrete and lifts and levels the slab. After the slab is lifted the joints of the slabs are sealed with Sealant Pro.
