The Finlayson family lived in a beautiful Parnell home, but a growing concern about radon gas—an invisible, odorless threat—was casting a shadow over their peace of mind. Uncertain of the air quality beneath their own roof and worried about the long-term health of their family, they reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for a professional assessment. Our inspection confirmed their fears: radon levels were significantly elevated, requiring immediate and expert intervention to make the home safe again.
A homeowner in Watkins, IA was concerned about his visitors safety when navigating the walkways around his home. To solve this common problem, we used our PolyLevel system, which involves injecting high-strength polyurethane foam to lift and stabilize the concrete slabs, as seen in the before photo. In the after photo, you can see the smooth, stable surface we achieved. Additionally, our NexusPro Joint Sealant was applied to the cracks and joints, ensuring long-lasting protection against future damage. With over three decades of experience, we're redefining what you can expect from contracting services.
A homeowner in Wellman, IA, noticed their home’s structural integrity was at risk due to significant foundation issues. The "before" photos highlight the severity of the leaning walls, while the creaky floors served as a constant reminder of the underlying damage. To restore the home, our team installed a comprehensive solution: PowerBrace™, WaterGuard®, and SmartJack®. As seen in the "after" results, the walls are now reinforced and stable, and the floors have been leveled to perfection. We take pride in delivering rock-solid stability and peace of mind to every homeowner.
Eric and Lori had a TripleSafe sump installed awhile back by MidAmerica Basement Systems, and during their annual service appointment, it was addressed that water was starting to seep in through the foundation walls. As a result, WaterGuard (drainage tile system) was installed around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard has a small gap at the top of the product that allows water to run down the wall and into the drain tile. Water that enters the drainage system is than directed to the sump pump where it is properly discharged from the home.
In Tripoli, IA, a homeowner struggled with a basement prone to frequent flooding, rendering unusable for much-needed storage space. In the before photo, you can sense the damp and lingering issue. As showcased in the after photo, MidAmerica Basement Systems completely changed that space. Utilizing our WaterGuard system, along with the CleanSpace liner and the reliable TripleSafe sump pump, we turned the once vulnerable spot into a dry and secure area. It's now a perfectly functional space, ready for storage and beyond.
