Over the years, Sherman’s driveway had begun to sink and in some areas crack under pressure. The unlevel, cracked concrete concerned him and he wanted it fixed. He thought about having it re-poured, but when he found out the price, he was less than thrilled. He looked around for more options and found the injection technology solution offered by MidAmerica Basement Systems.
This solution called PolyLevel uses high-density polymers to fill voids under the concrete, and then expand to lift and stabilize the area. Tripping hazards are quickly reduced, and the driveway is leveled once again. A NexusPro Joint Sealant is then applied to all the existing cracks to permanently seal them from future water intrusion and to prevent the cracks from worsening over time. The NexusPro also “hides” the appearance of the cracks, helping them blend in with the existing concrete.
Steve was looking to have his sump pump replaced. It has been 22 years since it has been installed, and was noticing water slowly seeping in through the floors. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for a new sump. When design specialist, Mac, arrived to inspect his situation, he offered Steve a TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump offers three different pumps; a primary, secondary, and a battery backup. To help increase the effectiveness of the sump pump, WaterGuard was also installed. WaterGuard is a drainage system that collects seeping water and redirects it to the TripleSafe. Steve has a new system in his basement that will no longer worry him knowing it will not fail.
Sam was having doubt about his untreated crawlspace, his basement always seemed to be muggy. When he reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems, design specialist Chris offered him a total crawlspace encapsulation. To permanently seal off the space, CleanSpace Liner is installed along the walls and floor. The thick 20 mil material, similar to the thickness of a pool liner, provides a tear- and puncture-resistant membrane, completely sealing off the ground and moisture. CleanSpace Liner has a special antimicrobial additive in it to prevent mold growth, making it ideal in a damp environment. With a sealed-off crawlspace, Sam no longer has an issue with a muggy basement.
Homeowner Libby recently had a radon mitigation system in her home after concerns about her radon levels. Design Specialist Cole Tatge gave Libby the best ideas for her home and answered all of her questions.
Christine was noticing stair-step cracking in her basement foundation and was concerned about the sagging floors in the rest of her home. She reached out the MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her home inspected. Upon assessment, Design Specialist, Mike Banks, presented the proposal of having SmartJacks and Push Piers installed to support the failing foundation. SmartJacks are steel support systems that are placed on girders and floor joists to level and stabilizing sagging floors. Push Piers are driven into the soil to help lift your home back to its original position, while potentially closing foundation cracks. Christine now has a stable, level home.
