Recent new homeowner tested their home for radon and came back positive, especially in their daughter’s room. Homeowner was very concerned about their daughter’s safety, so they gave MidAmerica Basement Systems a call to help solve their problem.  Bill Willcox had the pleasure of installing our Radon Mitigation system to help minimize the amount of radon in the home.

Trisha had recently purchased a radon test kit to check the levels in her home. When she received her results, she was in shock. Her levels were more than double the recommended 4.0 pCi/L standards set by the EPA. She quickly reached out to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. She was offered a radon mitigation system to help depressurize the gas that gets trapped under the home’s foundation, and filters it through a Breathe EZ Air Filter. After Trisha preformed her post radon test, levels came back well under the recommendation, leaving it safer for her to breathe the air in her home. 

When comparing the TripleSafe sump pump unit and other sump pump systems, the choice can be somewhat obvious. However, the TripleSafe is more than just good looks.  At a glance, the older sump pump system does not have a lid and TripleSafe does. Why does the TripleSafe have a lid? Why does it matter?

The TripleSafe has an airtight lid with an airtight drain system in the lid. The lid's genius design is constructed to allow water to go down but does not allow water back up. Protecting the system from debris (and other likely objects) from falling in clogging the pump or switch. The lid also quiets the system. The lid is also equipped with the WaterWatch alarm system that sounds off in the event of a potential flood in the space.The TripleSafe is by far superior to the homeowner’s old system making the basement and homeowner happier.
