Challenge
Pam from Muscatine was referred to the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems because she was unhappy with her dank, damp, moldy basement and needed help. The team sent Design Specialist, Michael Banks, to provide a free inspection and quote to Pam. Michael explained options to Pam that will make her basement a dryer, healthier space.
Solution
The project was led by Foreman, Bill Wilcox. The team installed CleanSpace liner to the mold ridden walls. CleanSpace has an antimicrobial additive that resists mold growth and the 20 mil thick liner acts as a vapor barrier. To drain walls leaks and rising ground water, they installed WaterGuard, a patented sub-floor drainage system. The team also installed IceGuard to prevent floods from frozen discharge line. Lastly, the team installed total sump with 1 pc lid, and M-72 Zoeller 1/3 hp pump. Pam is happy to have a basement that is dry, bright and healthy!
