Old, Leaking Basement No Longer Has Water Issues for Home in Bettendorf, IA

Challenge

Kristine was having issues with her basement leaking all the time, leaving a musty, moldy smell. The smell grew stronger and stronger, eventually the smell began to become noticeable throughout the rest of the home. She had had enough of the smell in her home, and reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement waterproofed, and hopefully reduce the moldy, musty smell.

Solution

Chris is a design specialist at MidAmerica Basement Systems and provided the proper, and most effective solution for her wet basement. He offered her an interior drainage system called WaterGuard. WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement to collect water that may be seeping in from the floor and off the walls. Once water is collected in the WaterGuard, it is than redirected to a TripleSafe. The TripleSafe sump uses a three-pump system, one primary, one secondary and one battery back-up, pumps. CleanSpace Liner was installed on the walls to offer a vapor barrier for the basement. CleanSpace is a thick liner, much like a pool liner, that has an antimicrobial additive to prevent future mold growth. With the CleanSpace, it helps reduce the mold and mildew growth, decreasing the moldy, musty smell throughout the home.
