Jen was having issues with a wet basement, and had turned her drywall into soggy, warped mess. She contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement waterproofed, and during her estimate, Bryan had offered the solution of EverLast Wall Restoration. EverLast Walls are composed of a high density closed-cell foam insulation, making the panels dent, mold, mildew, and water resistant. The panels also offer R-13 insulation (R-value refers to the compacity of insulating material to resist heat flow).
The homeowner of this basement in Urbana, IA called the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems because she was concerned about water coming into her basement. The team came out to her residence and installed our patented products SuperSump pump, WaterGuard, and CleanSpace. Now the homeowner has a cleaner, dryer and brighter basement!
Homeowner Mike was concerned about his sinking driveway and sidewalk. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about the Poly Level technology that we offer. The PolyFoam lifts and levels concrete.
Randy’s children spend a lot of their time in the basement because of their playroom. He had begun noticing that they would bring their toys upstairs, rather than playing down there. They told Randy that it was because it was cold and damp in the basement, making it unpleasant to be down there. Randy reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have an insulation system installed. ThermalDry Wall panels were suggested to insulate the basement. ThermalDry offers a heat-reflective surface that bounces 97% of the home’s heat back into the area, while providing a moisture barrier between the cold, damp concrete walls, reducing the moisture levels. Randy’s children now continue to play in the basement, no longer worrying of being cold.
A SuperSump pump was installed in the middle of the floor because it was the lowest point of the basement. This is odd as usually it is in the corner of the basement but it's important that a sump pump be at the lowest point. It is also connected to a lateral so that the water from the WaterGuard can still reach the SuperSump.
