Sinking Sidewalk Makes Entrance to Home Unsafe in Cedar Rapids, IA

Gregg had noticed that the steps to the front porch had begun to slope to the right, making it an unexpected shift for those who visit his home. As he took a closer look, he also discovered many tripping hazards throughout the sidewalk. He decided it was time to reach out for help, and contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems. PolyLevel was introduced to lift, level and stabilize the sunken concrete. PolyLevel uses small injection ports that allows for the material to fill the voids, expand to lift the concrete, and stabilize the slabs. Gregg now has an entrance to his home that is safe for everyone to access.

Upgraded Sump Pump in Cedar Rapids, IA

This home has been in the homeowners family for over 80 years and they knew it was time to address some of the issues the basement faced, specifically water intrusion. The home already had a sump pump in place but it just wasn't quite enough to keep the water out. This is where MidAmerica Basement Systems stepped in. We installed a comprehensive WaterGuard system tied into a SuperSump to ensure any water would be routed out of the basement. As a result, the homeowners were thrilled with their new dry space.
