Bowing walls and water intrusion were among some of the issues in this Dubuque homeowner's basement. The team at MidAmerica Basement Systems used CarbonArmor to stabilize the walls and WaterGuard to correct water intrusion.
Property owners of a large commercial building in Dubuque, IA contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about the options they had for waterproofing the expansive basement. They met with design specialist Mac McDaniel, who conducted a full inspection of the basement, and then designed a comprehensive waterproofing solution that involved full perimeter WaterGuard, and CleanSpace Wall. The basement is now finally dry!
The Resurrection Garden Mausoleum of Mount Calvary Cemetery was built in the 1960’s offering a place to lay rest loved ones. Over the years, the settlement of the ground and rain water, have caused the walkways of the area to sink and settle. The was posing tripping hazards to those who visited their loved ones. With the help from MidAmerica Basement Systems, PolyLevel was injected to lift, level, and stabilize the walkways, making the area safe once again for walking. PolyLevel is similar to mudjacking but is more cost effective and timely. PolyLevel has left the mausoleum’s walkways in a level and stable state for many more years to come, allowing all to visit their loved ones safely.
Over time, Kristy’s driveway began to sink and settle, not worrying her and her husband, at first. Water began seeping into their basement due to water collecting in the sunken areas near the home. So, before it could get any worse, they contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems. Bryan, inspected their situation, noticing that there were “obstacles” near the home’s foundation like a window well, gas line, and concrete stairs. He informed Kristy that they were not an issue for the injection technology, PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a lightweight material that uses small 3/8th inch injection holes. The high-density polymers are injected under the concrete to fill the voids, then expand to lift and level the slabs without placing damage to the gas line or window well. With the concrete leveled once again, water no longer pool against the foundation.
Homeowner has a wet bsemen she uses for storage. A sump Pump System was already installed, but it wasn't working to it's full potential. It was proposed to DeAnna that installing a WaterGuard System would ease her mind about the leaking foundation. WaterGuard is a drainage system that diverts water from the surfacing and properly directs it to the sump pump. DeAnna can now continue using her basement as storage space, even when it's raining thanks to her new WaterGuard System.
