In Princeville, the homeowner of this basement wanted the space waterproofed and also wanted to start restoring the space as well. The basement had some visible water damage from water intrusion over time and the homeowner wanted to remedy both the problem and the appearance so they called MidAmerica Basemenbt Systems. Our crew installed both EverLast Finished Wall Restoration panels and the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to help this homeowner solve their problems.

Out with the old...and mold!

The team tore out the bottom of the basement walls that were compromised with mold growth and some decay. The perimeter is being prepped for the WaterGuard XL drainage system.

TripleSafe is installed as the premier solution to wet basements. The patented unit has three pump (one being a battery back pump in case of a power outage), the WaterWatch designed to alert the homeowner of flood risks in the system, the lid is airtight and so is the drain which means water can drain in but water vapor can't escape.

WaterGuard XL

The perimeter drainage system, WaterGuard XL is finished. WaterGuard XL is a patented system that is installed on top of the foundation footing, is secured with rock, and is positioned slightly away from the foundation wall to allow wall leaks to flow into the system and to the local TripleSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard XL is then leveled with the foundation floor and covered in poured concrete. When the concrete dries, none would be the wiser that WaterGuard XL is there.

The EverLast Panels are aesthetically pleasing and yet, behind the exterior, is a unique system designed specially for basement use. Behind the panels is drainage matting that is dimpled to allow water to flow easily into the WaterGuard XL drainage system. Then CleanSpace encapsulation liners keep water and vapor behind the liner, the liners are fused with an antimicrobial agent that fights mold growth. Every material installed with the EverLast Wall Restoration panels (including the panels) are all inorganic which prevents mold growth on these materials.
