Photo Album: Repairing Basement Walls for Home in Mount Vernon, IA
Dan and Liz were having issues with water seeping in through the finished basement, but did not know exactly where it was coming from. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the experts determine where the leak was, and how to resolve it. When Bryan arrived, he said portions of the finished walls would need to be removed, so the inspection could be done properly. Once portions of the wall had been removed, a large mold issue was discovered. Water had been seeping in the home for longer than they expected. A WaterGuard system was offered to be installed around the perimeter of the basement to collect any seeping water and redirect it to a TripleSafe sump pump. A SaniDry Sedona was also installed to help keep moisture and humidity levels under proper control, reducing future damage to the walls and help keep future mold growth under control. To fix the finished walls, EverLast Wall Panels were installed. The panels offer a waterproof base, that will prevent future moisture damage, and will not growth mold if they due become wet.
