Photo Album: Keeping Basement and Crawlspace Dry for Home in Oglesby, IL
Donna and Carl were having issues with their basement having a mold, musty smell due to it being wet all the time. They reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have a waterproofing system installed. When their basement was inspected, it was noted that much of the water that was entering the area was coming from the untreated crawlspace. The crawlspace was encapsulated with CleanSpace to seal off the area from the exposed ground, significantly reducing moisture issues. CleanSpace Liner was installed along the foundation walls to help reduce moisture that seeps through the concrete, and WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter. Working together, the CleanSpace and WaterGuard helped redirect the water to a SuperSump to be discharged out of the basement, keeping the area dry, and helping prevent future mold growth.
