Photo Album: Moisture Barrier Installed at Home in Monmouth, IL
Lisa was having issues with moisture in her crawlspace but wasn’t sure where it was coming from. MidAmerica Basement Systems inspected her crawlspace to find that there was a small plumping leak, and also all the moisture that was coming from the exposed dirt floor. It was proposed that she installs a complete crawlspace encapsulation system. CleanSpace Drainage Matting was placed along the floor to act as a moisture-directing system to the SmartDrain. The SmartDrain includes an alarm that alerts you if there is a plumping leak in your crawlspace. SliverGlo was installed around the perimeter of the crawlspace to provide insulation for the area, while CleanSpace created a complete seal from moisture that was coming from the ground. To ensure that all moisture was out of encapsulation crawlspace, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. Lisa now has a complete dry crawlspace, and no longer has to worry about unnoticed plumping leaks.
