Photo Album: Waterproofing a Flooding Basement in Jesup, IA
Nadine and Wilbur M. of Jesup, IA were affected by frequent basement flooding. The water would enter mostly through the windows at the walls, and would flood the basement with dirty rain water. Nadine and Wilbur called MidAmerica Basement Systems and met with design specialist Mike Banks, who helped by designing a custom solution for the homeowners. The system included the patented sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, a buried discharge line with LawnScape and IceGuard, four new windows and well ducts, and a SaniDry dehumidifier. Now, the basement is dry and no longer humid.
Damp Basement
The damp basement is water damaged on the walls and near the window.
Full Perimeter WaterGuard
The WaterGuard Port is positioned in the corner of the basement. The WaterGuard Port makes it easier to clean the WaterGuard.
WaterGuard Wraps the Perimeter
WaterGuard wraps the perimeter of the basement.
WaterGuard Looks Great!
WaterGuard looks great, and it works even better. When the cement dries, the perimeter system is barely noticeable.
