Waterproofed Basement in Brimfield, IL

Challenge

Brimfield, IL homeowner, Kevin P., called MidAmerica Basement Systems because he was getting water in his basement. The water was coming in through the floor and wall joints, and pooling in a sunken living area in his basement. He decided enough was enough, and met with design specialist Fred Romane. 

Solution

Fred, a certified system design specialist at MidAmerica Basement Systems, conducted a thorough investigation of the inside and outside of the Brimfield home. Then, he custom designed a solution for Kevin and his unique basement.

The solution included full perimeter WaterGuard, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, a SuperSump, IceGuard and a buried discharge line. WaterGuard is a patented sub-floor drainage system. WaterGuard is installed beneath the surface of the floors, and catches water before it enters the interior. WaterGuard, which encompasses the full perimeter, then drains into one of Kevin's two powerful sump pumps. The TripleSafe Sump Pump comes equipped with with three powerful pumps, including a battery back up pump. Each sump pump installed came equipped with a buried discharge line and the IceGuard attachment piece. IceGuard allows for water to be pumped out above the snow and ice, but away from the foundation.

Now, Kevin's basement is very dry - even the sunken living area! He is very happy with the work.
