CleanSpace Encapsulates Limestone Basement in Sterling, IL

Challenge

Sterling, IL homeowners, Susan and Paul G., had water coming into their limestone basement. The floors of their basement were very thin, and water was coming in through the walls. They decided to call the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems so they could have a dry basement.

Solution

Susan and Paul G. met with design specialist Bryan Christopherson. Bryan sat down with the homeowners to go over what their needs and wants were for their damp basement. He then conducted a thorough investigation inside and outside the home, and left Susan and Paul with a written estimate in hand that day. Bryan suggested encapsulating the thin-floored basement with CleanSpace, drainage matting and a new sump pump.

Justin Reger and his team came out to install the basement system. They laid the CleanSpace Drainage Matting. The CleanSpace Drainage Matting diverts the water toward the sump pump. After the CleanSpace Drainage Matting was installed, Justin Reger and crew installed the CleanSpace Wall on the walls and floors of the basement. The team also installed a new SuperSump Sump Pump with a buried discharge line, and the IceGuard attachment piece. IceGuard directs water out of the basement, but away from the foundation in the event that the discharge line freezes. Susan and Paul are very happy with their now dry basement.
