Challenge

Steven P. of Coralville, IA had a waterproofing system installed previously by another company, but now Steven was experiencing leaks in his basement. He decided to get his basement waterproofed with MidAmerica Basement Systems. He gave the local experts a call. 

Solution

After Steven P. called MidAmerica Baseent Systems, he met with design specialist Bryan Nachazel. Bryan and Steven talked about the basement issues together, and Bryan conducted a thorough investigation both inside and outside the home. After discussing Steven's needs, and evaluating the issues, Bryan designed a long lasting solution for Steven's home.

Replacing the existing system, that wasn't really working, was the patented sub-floor drainage system, WaterGuard. WaterGuard is installed under the basement floor to trap water before it reaches the interior. In this case, WaterGuard would be draining into the already existing sump pump. That sump pump pumps the water out of the basement, ensuring that the basement stays dry. Additionally, the homeowner opted to have the ThermalDry Carpet Flooring installed. The flooring won't be installed until December, but with these waterproofing products, the basement is sure to be dry and offer Steven peace of mind.
