Basement to Beautiful in Dewitt, IA
Challenge
Jeffery uses his basement for leisure but was tired of the cold & grey brick walls. He called into MidAmerica Basement Systems, wanting advise on how he can turn his cold & gray basement walls into something more pleasing to the eyes & Thermodynamics. He was thinking of installing wood panels but was open to alternative. Our appointment center listened to his concerns set a time for one of our design specialist to go out there and assess the home and provide a solution that works.
Solution
Our Design Specialist, Michael Banks educated Jeffery about our Basement to Beautiful Wall Panels and our EverLast Basement Wall Panels. Basement-to-Beautiful wall panels are designed specifically to install in the basement, against foundation walls. These innovative panels enable your contractor to complete wall framing and insulating in a single step. More importantly, Basement-to-Beautiful panels can’t rot, attract mold or be damaged by moisture. Wood framing and fiberglass insulation are fine in a above-grade applications. But wood absorbs moisture in the basement because of high humidity levels or from water that gets onto the basement floor. Wood that stays wet for prolonged period of time creates a perfect habitat for both mold and wood rot; Which can eventually destroy organic materials, while creating nasty odors and hazardous mold spores along the way. Fluffy fiberglass fares no better when moisture is present; as it compresses into wet clumps, falls out of place, and totally loses its insulating value.
Everlast Basement wall panels that are superior to soft insulation wall finishing systems for basements. Wall panels are durable, solid and long-lasting solution. The panels are resistant to damage from moisture and water. They are also available in two-sided paneling, with our stylish decorative vinyl on both sides. The panels are acoustically dampening, helping to prevent sound from traveling out of your basement. Additionally, the SilverGlo™ foam insulation gives the wall paneling an industry-leading R-13 insulation value that increases the energy efficiency of the home. Additionally, our finished wall paneling is equipped with a Class 1 Fire Rating- the highest rating available for combustible materials! Remodeling your basement with Total Basement Finishing makes the whole house a quieter, safer, more comfortable place!
