TripleSafe & Water Guard Install in Muscatine, IA

Challenge

Robert & Julie have been living in their home now for 20 years but for the past 2 years they have been seeing water puddle up in their basement. They want to use the basement for storage of their precious belongings, but are concerned about mold & water damage. Finally, they made the decision to fix the problem and asked around for a creditable company. They were referred to us by their neighbors who had work done by us in the past and were very pleased with the result. Design specialist Michael Banks had the pleasure of assisting the lovely couple on solutions to their problems. Once Michael assessed the home, he educated Robert & Julie that water is seeping in through the wall & floor joint of the basement, which happens to be a common area for water to seep into the basement.

Solution

Robert & Julie went with our WaterGuard System in conjunction with our TripleSafe Sump Pump. Our crew leader, Dillion Heard installed our WaterGuard system in the homeowner’s basement. The Waterguard system is designed to sit on top of the footing of the foundation. This is important because the drain does not sit in the mud and will not cause structural damage to the foundation. WaterGuard has a big drain outlet to the sump, which in this case homeowners went with our TripleSafe Sump Pump. TripleSafe system sports 3 sump pumps in one sump liner. Pump 1 is a high-quality Zoeller 1/3hp Pump and will do the lion’s share of the pumping very efficiently. Pump 2 is a 1/2hp Zoeller pump set a bit higher in the sump hole that turns on in the event that the first pump can’t keep up. Pump 3 is a DC pump that kicks in if the power goes out. Robert & Julie were very pleased with the work Dillion and his crew did at their home: now they can store their valuables without worrying about water damage or mold.
