The sunken and cracked concrete around your Whiteside County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. Judy W. is the homeowner of this brick basement in Morrison. Although brick can be aesthetically pleasing to some, it can produce a myriad of problems in a basement. For example, Judy was worried about the amount of water coming into her basement from where the floor meets the wall and she did not have a sump pump in the space. Incidents of sitting water had left a musty smell in the basement that Judy did not care for. Soon she called the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems.
The system addresses the water seepage from where the floor meets the wall by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard will direct these leaks away from the foundation floor and to the local sump pump.
The sump pump with the design to keep Judy's basement dry all the time, is no other than the patented TripleSafe sump pump. Whereas Judy did not have a sump pump, now she had three that are designed to work with each other. If the primary pump fails are is overwhelmed, the powerful second pump activates. The third pump is the unit’s battery back-up pump designed to turn on in the event of a power outage. The system also comes with the WaterWatch alarm which will warn Judy if there is a pressing issue.
The musty smell was relieved with the ever efficient SaniDry XP. SaniDry XP is not only an extremely effective dehumidifier but is also an air filtration system. Now Judy's basement is dry, protected and smells clean.

After a quick phone call, an appointment was set up with Mac McDaniel to come and assess the basement. Mac decided the best solution for her particular basement issues was to have a TripleSafe pumping system, CleanSpace walling, a full perimeter of WaterGuard, and multiple Power Braces. The WaterGuard is a drainage system put along the inside perimeter of the home to capture the water and transport it to the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe is the latest and greatest in the sump pump market; it is equipped with three pumps to make sure all of the water is pumped up, out, and safely away from the home. The CleanSpace walling is a great look for the basement walls, but also blocks the water from the walls and directs it to the WaterGuard to be pumped out as well. The Power Braces are long steel beams that keep the wall from caving in and over time will push the wall back into its original position.
Kate S. is very happy with the work done by MidAmerica Basement Systems. Her basement is now worry free and will stay that way for a very long time.

Having a sump pump system to keep your basement dry is great, but having a sump pump with a battery back-up for the pump is even better. A battery back-up pump is great for power outages, primary pump failures, if circuit breakers trip, and if a pump becomes unplugged. Everything will turn on automatically leaving you with nothing to do. There is an alarm attached to the system that will go off and alert you once the back-up is running so you can take action to restore the power on the primary pump.
