Job Stories From Washington County, IA
Crawl Space Made Clean and Dry in Washington, IL

Karen has a crawlspace that continues to have standing water in it when it rains. Tired of having to pump the water out every time she decided to look for a company to solve this problem. Through her search on the internet she found MidAmerica Basement Systems and decided to call and learn more.

Through her short time on the phone, she was very pleased and agreed to set up a free estimate with Kevin Coakley, a trained design specialist. After a thorough inspection of the crawlspace Kevin decided the best option for the area was to install a full perimeter of Smart Pipe drainage channel. This channel is buried under the dirt and directs the water to the SmartSump pumping system, which was also installed. The SmartSump is a small sump pump made just for crawlspaces because of the lack of space. The SmartSump will pump the water out of the house through a discharge line which will take the water a safe distance from the home. CleanSpace was also installed; this product is a tarp like material that encapsulates the entire crawlspace to help with the water problem and also give the space a much cleaner look when completed.

Karen loves the fact that she no longer has to pump water out of her crawlspace every time it rains. She is able to use her crawlspace to her convenience and could not be happier with the work done by MidAmerica Basement Systems.

Radon Mitigation System in Riverside, IA

Jason and Carol of Riverside, IA contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems because they suspected their existing radon mitigation system from another company was failing. The system was very loud, and the large pipe made it impossible for Carol to use the room for a sewing room, as she had originally intended.

Jason and Carol met with design specialist Mac McDaniel, who designed a custom solution for their home and their needs. The new solution put the fan outside the home, and included an exterior aesthetic package. Foreman Bill Wilcox and his team installed the system, and now Jason and Carol are very happy with the system!

Brighton, IA Home Addresses Sloping Concrete Steps

Gerald was concerned about his guests’ safety when the entered his home. The stoop steps to his front door had shifted and dropped about 3 inches, and in some areas 4. Having unsafe stairs to walk on produce many issues for him and his guests. Demolition and new poured stairs would cost him a fortune and take weeks to complete. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have an estimate on mudjacking. When design specialist Dustin came out, he proposed the new injection technology, PolyLevel. PolyLevel is similar to mudjacking, but more efficient and long-term. PolyLevel offers a lightweight, precise lift of concrete to its original position. Gerald’s concrete steps were leveled and accessible in a single day, allowing for a safe entrance for not only his guests, but himself as well.
