Sherry and Art were having issues with water seeping in through small foundation cracks in their basement, so they reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems. During inspection, Dan offered them WaterGuard to collect the seeping wall water. The special 3/8th inch water flange allows for the water to enter the WaterGuard, but prevents any debris from clogging the system. Once water is collected, it is then redirected to a TripleSafe sump pump to be discharged from the home. Sherry and Art no longer have issues with a wet basement floor.

Job Stories From Tazewell County, IL
Crawl Space Made Clean and Dry in Washington, IL

Karen has a crawlspace that continues to have standing water in it when it rains. Tired of having to pump the water out every time she decided to look for a company to solve this problem. Through her search on the internet she found MidAmerica Basement Systems and decided to call and learn more.

Through her short time on the phone, she was very pleased and agreed to set up a free estimate with Kevin Coakley, a trained design specialist. After a thorough inspection of the crawlspace Kevin decided the best option for the area was to install a full perimeter of Smart Pipe drainage channel. This channel is buried under the dirt and directs the water to the SmartSump pumping system, which was also installed. The SmartSump is a small sump pump made just for crawlspaces because of the lack of space. The SmartSump will pump the water out of the house through a discharge line which will take the water a safe distance from the home. CleanSpace was also installed; this product is a tarp like material that encapsulates the entire crawlspace to help with the water problem and also give the space a much cleaner look when completed.

Karen loves the fact that she no longer has to pump water out of her crawlspace every time it rains. She is able to use her crawlspace to her convenience and could not be happier with the work done by MidAmerica Basement Systems.

Basement Brightened in East Peoria

Michael and Shirley were having a water problem on one side of their home and wanted to see if it could be fixed. They also wanted to replace their existing windows with some type of window well. They were referred to MidAmerica Basement Systems to get a free estimate on their basement.

After a short phone call, an appointment was set up with Mark Kurtz to come evaluate the basement. Mark decided the best solution for their specific problem was to install a SuperSump pumping system and WaterGuard around the wall with the water issue. The SuperSump pumping system will pump any water up and away from the home. The WaterGuard will direct the water to the SuperSump to be pumped out. Mark also showed them the SunHouse window well, which will allow more sunlight in the basement but also keep the water out. They loved the idea of the SunHouse.

Michael and Shirley are very happy with the work done by MidAmerica Basement Systems. They now have a bright and dry living space downstairs.

Foundation Walls Stabilized in East Peoria, IL

Rachel P. is the owner of this East Peoria basement. She was concerned about the condition of her foundation walls and so had several companies come out to assess the situation and after much consideration decided to go with the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. Justin Bailey was the lead foreman and headed the charge to install the patented wall system, PowerBrace. The PowerBrace has a system that allows for tightening which means that it can actually improve the condition of the wall over time. Zinc coating makes the PowerBrace resistant to corrosion, making it long lasting.

Basement Goes With The FlowGuard in Morton, IL

The homeowner of this basement in Morton wanted the space waterproofed and wanted to replace the old sump pump. The homeowner reached out to the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems and an expert was sent out to the residence where the basement was inspected and the homeowner was given an estimate, all for free. The project was soon underway. The team installed FlowGuard around the perimeter. FlowGuard is appropriate for thin applications, meaning that the foundation floor is somewhat thinner than average. CleanSpace waterproofing system is fitted onto the foundation walls and traps water/vapor behind the liner. The SuperSump was installed in place of the old, out dated system. The SuperSump comes with an airtight lid, efficient cast iron pump, ClesanPump stand, and WaterWatch alarm that is designed to alert the homeowner of potential flooding in the system.

MidAmerica is thrilled to have helped the homeowner reclaim the space by making it dryer, protected, and healthier!

Full Basement Waterproofing in Pekin, IL

Jason and Jamie J. were tired of dealing with their water problems in their basement. They found MidAmerica Basement Systems online and decided to call for help and a free estimate.

Soon after giving them a call, an appointment was set up with Kevin Coakley to come evaluate the basement. Kevin concluded the best solution for their home’s specific water problem was to have a TripleSafe pumping system, Basement to Beautiful Panels, ZenWall, and WaterGuard installed. The WaterGuard is a channel in the home that channels the water to the TripleSafe pumping system, which will take the water up, out, and away from the home. The Basement to Beautiful Panels and ZenWall are walling systems that give the basement a finished look, but also block the water from the walls down to the WaterGuard.

Jason and Jamie J. have been extremely happy with the work MidAmerica Basement Systems did. Their basement will now be water free for many years to come.

Supported Bowing Wall in Morton, IL Home

Pressure from the ground can cause the foundation walls of your home to bow, causing foundation cracks and weaken the structure of your home. MidAmerica Basement Systems have a permanent solution to stop the wall from bowing, and even reverse the wall over time with GeoLock Wall Anchors. This system uses a steel rod system that is driven through the foundation walls and anchors to the ground outside. The GeoLock Anchors provide the necessary strength and surface area needed for an effective system. Once the anchors are in place, a galvanized steel plate is placed on the inside surface of the foundation, that allows the system to be tightened, resulting in a permanently stable wall that can be straightened over time.
