Sue B. purchased an older home and noticed water coming in the basement. She wanted an interior solution rather than having her yard torn apart. She did some research on the internet and found MidAmerica Basement Systems was the best fit for her.
The call center listened to Sue’s problem and sent out Mark Kurtz, a trained design specialist, to further inspect the issue. Mark proposed a custom solution to fix the issue which included a TripleSafe pumping system and a full perimeter of WaterGuard. The full perimeter of WaterGuard will filter the water to the TripleSafe pumping system, where it will be pumped out of the home a safe distance away.
Sue B. was extremely happy she was able to fix her water problem without having to dig up the outside of her home. Her basement is now dry and will be for many years, she now has no worries about the basement being wet after it rains.
There was water in Tina and Jeremy H.’s basement every time it rained. Looking for a solution on the internet, they found MidAmerica Basement Systems and decided to give them a call to fix their water problem.
After a short amount of time on the phone, an appointment was set up to have a trained design specialist, Mark Kurtz, come out and diagnose the issue. Mark decided the best solution was to install a WaterGuard drainage channel that would direct the water to the SuperSump pumping system that was also being installed. The SuperSump pumping system takes the water from the WaterGuard and pumps it out of the house through a discharge line, which will take it a safe distance away from the home.
Tina and Jeremy H. had their basement waterproofing done at the beginning of 2015 and through all the storms, have not had any water problems. They are very happy with the decision to choose MidAmerica Basement Systems to waterproof their basement, they are now worry free when it rains.
Vicky has lived in her house for several years and continued to have a water problem in her basement. She finally had enough and went online in search of professional help. She found MidAmerica Basement Systems right away and wanted to learn more.
She was very pleased to find out the estimate was free and the appointment was set up right away. Mark Kurtz, a trained design specialist, was sent to Vicky’s house and after a thorough inspection he came up with a customized solution for her specific problem. He proposed a WaterGuard drainage channel that would unnoticably direct the water to the TripleSafe pumping system that was also going to be installed. The humidity was a little high in her home as well, so Mark proposed a SaniDry dehumidifier to keep mold from growing in the basement. After Mark went over how the whole process worked with Vicky, she was sold and got the appointment scheduled.
Vicky’s basement was completed by MidAmerica Basement Systems in the middle of 2012 and it continues to stay completely dry to this day. She could not be happier with her decision in choosing MidAmerica Basement Systems and now has no worries about water when it rains.
Payne and Teresa were having structural issues in their home, which they were trying to sell. They saw MidAmerica Basement Systems at the Peoria Home Show and decided to give them a call.
After a quick phone call, an appointment was set up for Mark Kurtz to come and diagnose the issues. Mark decided the best solution for the basement was to have Power Braces and CleanSpace installed. The Power Braces are mounted up against the wall to prevent it from caving in and also push the wall back over time to get back to its upright position. The CleanSpace walling system is put against the wall to give it a cleaner, less “basementy” fell.
Payne and Teresa are very happy to have the foundation of their home repaired. They can now sell their house with an increased value because of the work MidAmerica Basement Systems did.
Emily noticed some vertical cracks in her basement foundation, where she was also getting some water. She was referred by a past customer to call the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems for a free estimate.
After a quick call to the office, an appointment was set up for Mark Kurtz to come evaluate the basement. Mark decided the best solution for the specific foundation problem was to install Power Braces along one wall and Push Piers on the other wall. The Power Braces go along the inside of the foundation wall and not only keep the wall from caving in further, but also begin to push the wall back to its upright position. The Push Piers go along the outside of the wall and are used to fix sagging foundations. The Push Piers are driven deep into the ground to stabilize and lift a home’s foundation back into place. Mark’s solution for the water problem was to install a SuperSump pumping system with WaterGuard along the problematic wall. The SuperSump pumping system will pump the water out and away from the home and the WaterGuard will direct that water to the SuperSump.
Emily is very happy with the experience of MidAmerica Basement Systems. There is no longer a worry of the basement or foundation having any more issues.
Michael and Shirley were having a water problem on one side of their home and wanted to see if it could be fixed. They also wanted to replace their existing windows with some type of window well. They were referred to MidAmerica Basement Systems to get a free estimate on their basement.
After a short phone call, an appointment was set up with Mark Kurtz to come evaluate the basement. Mark decided the best solution for their specific problem was to install a SuperSump pumping system and WaterGuard around the wall with the water issue. The SuperSump pumping system will pump any water up and away from the home. The WaterGuard will direct the water to the SuperSump to be pumped out. Mark also showed them the SunHouse window well, which will allow more sunlight in the basement but also keep the water out. They loved the idea of the SunHouse.
Michael and Shirley are very happy with the work done by MidAmerica Basement Systems. They now have a bright and dry living space downstairs.
Betty recently had work done by MidAmerica Basement Systems. She was also interested in an egress window, so she called for a free estimate.
After a short phone call, an appointment was set up for Mark Kurtz to come see if an egress window was possible. Mark decided an egress window was possible and believed the StakWEL egress system would be the best fit. The StakWEL egress system is the only option for a customer looking for the best egress window.
Betty is very happy to have an egress window in her home. She was extremely pleased with the work done by MidAmerica Basement System and would recommend them to anyone looking for an egress window.
Richard was dealing with a little bit of everything in his basement from water, bowing walls, but his main concern was the radon levels. He remembered seeing MidAmerica Basement Systems at the Peoria Home Show and decided to give them a call for a free estimate.
Shortly after calling them, an appointment was set up for Mark Kurtz to come out and diagnose the issues in the basement. Mark decided the best solution for Richard’s high radon levels was to install a new radon mitigation system. The radon mitigation system will calculate the radon levels in the home and take the radon out and away from the home.
Richard is extremely happy with the work and professionalism of MidAmerica Basement Systems. He no longer has to worry about the radon levels in his home.
Vicki and Kermit, are the homeowners of this Geneseo basement. They wanted to secure the space from water damage and soon called on the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems. MidAmerica worked with the homeowners schedule and set an appointment for a free inspection. The expert, Mark Kurtz, came out and assessed the space, then quoted the homeowners the same day at no cost to them. Soon the MidAmerica team was hard at work providing these homeowners with a dry, waterproofed basement.
The team installed the SuperSump pumping system that is powerful, efficient and comes with an alarm system that alerts the homeowners of any issues. The homeowners also wanted a back-up system in case the power goes out, so MidAmerica installed the UltraSump, which is a dual battery switching unit that can pump upwards of 12,000 gallon in the event of a flood or major leak.
Lead by Justin Bailey, the team further waterproofed the space by equipping the WaterGuard waterproofing system, which leads leaks directly to SuperSump pump system. This basement owner has a basement prepared for rainy days and other unexpected leaks!
MidAmerica appreciates Vicki and Kermit’s business and is happy to have been of service!
Davenport homeowners, Sandy and Terry C., realized they needed to make the air in their home safe and radon-free. They contacted the local experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems.
Soon, design specialist Clayton Spinler was assisting the homeowners in their goal to have a radon-free home. Foreman Bill Wilcox and his team were ready to install the new system, and give Sandy and Terry some peace of mind.
Leaking basements can lead to a lot of stress, and when you have a garage that does the same, it leads to even more stress. Installing a waterproofing system from MidAmerica Basement Systems can help ease the stress of a wet home. In one situation, homeowner Jon had two TripleSafe sumps installed due to leaking foundation cracks. WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement and garage to keep water from surfacing. Thanks to the waterproofing systems offered by MABS, Jon no longer stresses about water intrusion.
Foundation cracks along walls and floors can lead to a wet basement. Fixing the issue is a simple task with the help of MidAmerica Basement Systems. Installing CleanSpace Liner addresses the leaking wall cracks. It helps direct the water to a drain system while helping seal off moisture. WaterGuard addresses the leaking floor problem. WaterGuard collects water before it surfaces the floor and helps direct water to the TripleSafe sump. A TripleSafe properly discharges the seeping water, keeping the basement dry.
Will was not sure how to address his leaking floor issue and quickly contacted the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. After his basement was looked at a WaterGuard and SuperSump system was proposed. The WaterGuard would be installed along the perimeter of the basement to help collect the seeping floor water, and then redirect it to the SuperSump. Once the water was in the SuperSump, it is properly discharged from the basement, leaving the air dry for Will.
Sue was having concerns with the slight bow in her basement walls. Before they could worsen, she contacted the experts of MidAmerica Basement Systems. She was offered a PowerBrace system to permanently stop the walls from worsening, and provide the proper support they needed. The patented tightening system allows for the I-Beams to exert the proper force against the walls, and also gives the PowerBraces the potential ability to straighten the wall back out over time. Sue now has a stabilized foundation with the option of better the walls over time.
Eric and Melanie were concerned about their kids’ playroom. Every time it rained, water would seep into the room and toys would become wet. They reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the area inspected and repaired. They were introduced to a full perimeter WaterGuard drainage system to help collect the seeping water, and prevent it from surfacing and ruining any toys. Once water entered the WaterGuard system, it is then redirected to the TripleSafe to be properly discharged back out of the toy room. Now Eric and Melanie’s children can enjoy the toy room rain or shine, and anytime of the year.
Virginia was constantly having issues with water seeping into her basement from all areas throughout the floor. Fed up with her situation, Virginia reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement inspected. Water seepage was noted along the floor and wall joint, and a WaterGuard system was offered as a solution. WaterGuard is a patented drainage tile that collects seeping water and redirects it to a sump system. A TripleSafe sump was then installed to properly discharge the seeping water. Virginia no longer has an issue with water seeping into her basement.
Deborah was having some issues with some leaking cracks in her foundation, and would sometimes leak during large rain falls. She reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her cracks repaired. FlexiSpan was injected into the cracks to provide a strong, flexible bond. FlexiSpan is ideal for cracks because it uses high-viscosity polyurethane polymers to set deep into the cracks, preventing the crack from worsening over time. The uniquely flexible sealant also always for movement during the natural freeze-thaw and wet-dry cycles of the ground around the foundation.
Andy was having issues with his sump pump, sometimes it would work, other times it seemed to become overwhelmed. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to see what options they had to repairing his pump. Due to his sump pump being so old, it was going to need to be replaced before it quit for good. A TripleSafe sump was offered to replace the old system. The TripleSafe offers a primary pump, and a secondary pump if the first pump was to ever stop working. The sump also has a third, batter backup, that ensure the system will still pump water even if there is a power outage. Andy can now have confidence in his sump pump.
During a large storm, Dorla’s power went out, causing her sump pump to stop running, and basement to flood. After the power came back on, she was still having issues with water seeping in the foundation, leaving the basement wet still. She contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her issues addressed. She was offered WaterGuard to collect the seeping foundation water, redirecting it to the sump pump to be discharged. An UltraSump was also offered, providing her with the security of a functioning pump during power outages. The UltraSump is a battery backup pump that can run for hours on one single charge. Now Dorla can relax during storms that produce power outages.
Jeff and Cathy had an issue with a leaking crawlspace and had a drainage line installed, but didn’t seem to help the moldy, musty smell that was seeping into their home. MidAmerica Basement Systems offered them the solution of total crawlspace encapsulation. A SmartDrain was installed to properly discharge any water from the crawlspace. Drainage matting was placed over the dirt to help direct the seeping water and moisture properly to the SmartDrain. CleanSpace Liner was installed along the walls and over the drainage matting to permanently and properly seal off the ground from the rest of the crawlspace. A SaniDry Sedona was then installed in the crawlspace to control humidity and moisture levels, reducing the moldy, musty smells, and preventing future growths.
Dave was having issues with water seeping in his basement through his limestone foundation. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his situation looked at, hoping for a solution. Dave was offered a CleanSpace Wall and WaterGuard system to affectively address his problem. CleanSpace Wall liner is a about as thick as a pool liner, providing the ultimate tear- and puncture-resistant, vapor barrier. Seeping water is than guided down into the WaterGuard and redirected to his existing sump pump. The CleanSpace also helps reduce humidity levels in the basement, while giving a clean, bright finish.
Paul was tired of his leaking basement and reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his basement waterproofed. When he met with his design specialist, a unique solution was offered. The patented drainage system, WaterGuard, was offered to be installed around the inside perimeter of the basement to collect and redirect any seeping water to a sump pump. To properly discharge the water and keep Paul’s basement dry, even during power outages, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed. Water no longer surfaces in the basement and Paul couldn’t be happier.
Jeremy was having issues with water seeping through the wall and floor joint rather then reaching his sump pump to be properly discharged out of the basement. He attempted applying hydraulic cement to the joint, but that only worked for a short time. He was still constantly getting water in his basement. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his issues inspected. Jeremy was offered a patented drainage system to help redirect the water to the sump pump. WaterGuard is installed along the wall and floor joint to collect the seeping water, preventing it from surfacing, and guiding it to the sump pump.
This new homeowner is frustrated that she bought a recently built home that is having water leaks in the basement through cracks on poured-in concrete foundation. She is hoping to finish her basement at some point, so it is very important for her to have a dry basement and to take care of the problem now before it gets worse. Highly qualified crew member Chris Riley had the privilege of helping solve the problem by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is designed not to clog, has a built in 3/8” gap between the floor and the wall to drain wall leaks and a big drain outlet to the sump. The homeowner went with our SuperSump equipped with floor drain built into the lid, CleanPump Stand to elevate pump off the bottom of the sump liner, allowing for some sediments to settle to the bottom of the sump liner without clogging. Also, a Pump alarm was installed, which is a battery-powered alarm that sounds off automatically when the water reaches a level above the point where the pump should normally turn on. Because the homeowner plans to finish the basement, CleanSpace Wall System was installed. CleanSpace Wall system economically brightens the basement, stops water vapor, drains wall leaks, is very durable and nearly impossible to rip. CleanSpace Wall System is made from inorganic material preventing mold from growing. Chris did a stellar job and takes pride in that our homeowner will now be able to finish her basement with peace of mind.
