Terry is the homeowner of these TWO crawl spaces in East Moline and wanted them both cleaned up and insulated. Terry called the MidAmerica Basement Systems team and the team sent expert Mac McDaniel in to inspect the spaces. Terry agreed to the game plan and the team sent out lead foreman Justin Bailey to head the project.

The first crawl space is the larger of the two. The team cleared out all the debris and then laid out CleanSpace Drainage Matting. The drainage system is a dimpled polyethylene membrane material that allows water to flow underneath the CleanSpace liner. The team installed SilverGlo on the walls which is a foil backed foam insulating material. The SilverGlo is impregnated with graphite, which reduces heat from escaping the space. SilverGlo is inorganic making it unlikely to deteriorate. The space was sealed with CleanSpace liner wit is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that has multiple layers of plastics with differentiating flexibility making it resistant to tears and punctures. CleanSpace is an inorganic material that also has an antimicrobial additive called UnltraFresh which prevents mold growth on the liner. The second crawl space is smaller and was fitted with the CleanSpace liner as well. MidAmerica Basement Systems is happy to have provided Terry with two clean, comfortable, and insulated crawl spaces!

In Princeville, a homeowner not only wanted the basement to be waterproofed but wanted to add some finishing touches to the space. After having a MidAmerica Basement Systems expert come out to provide a free inspection and estimate, the game plan was set and got to work. 

The team installed none other than the incomparable TripleSafe sump pumping system. Unlike other systems, this unit comes with 3 pumps designed to back up the system in case water rises faster than one pump can handle. The first pump is the pump that does the most work and is quite efficient. However, should water rise faster than the first can expel, the more powerful second pump activates. The third pump is the systems back up battery pump that comes on in the event of a power outage. The TripleSafe comes with WaterWatch, which is an alarm that sounds off to warn the homeowner of a potential problem. The TripleSafe comes equipped with special features designed to keep the pumps running smoothly such as the CleanPump stands that keep the pumps elevated from debris on the bottom. The WaterGuard XL comes with an inspection port to allow the homeowner or service tech to peak into the system and make sure everything is flowing properly.

To put the finishing touches on the walls of the basement, the team installed halfway wall panels of inorganic material called EverLast Wall Restoration. Everlast wall panels are installed with drainage matting and CleanSpace to allow potential wall leaks to continue to flow behind the panels and to the WaterGuard XL. Drainage matting is a dimpled inorganic material that allows water to flow down t the perimeter drainage system. The CleanSpace liners keep water and vapor behind the system and also has an antimicrobial additive to ward off mold growth. This system, is specially designed to help restore basement walls while giving a neat, clean, and finished look. 

Karen W. is the homeowner of this crawlspace in Edwards and wanted to reclaim the space. She had utilities and pipes running through the space which allowed water intrusion. She had a plastic liner on the floor of the crawlspace, but it did not help at all. Wanting a permanent solution, she called the experts at MidAmerica basement Systems.

The team encapsulated the space with CleanSpace. Where the previous plastic failed, CleanSpace would prevail. CleanSpace liners are 20 mil thick plastic material made of varying levels of plastic with differing characteristics making it strong, durable and long lasting. The CleanSpace is sealed around obstructions and is attached with fasteners to the upper parts of the walls. Karen B.'s basement was afflicted by bowing walls and an unsteady foundation. The experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems were prepared to assess the situation. MidAmerica Basement Systems sent design specialist Dan Garner to help with the job. 

Soon, foreman Dillon Heard and his team were installing both PowerBrace and Carbon Armor to stablize the bowing walls. PowerBrace, while primarily used to stablize, can also help correct a wall. With the walls standing sturdy, Karen B. feels safe in her stable home. 

Dunlap homeowner realized his basement walls were starting to bow, so Vance M. decided to reach out to MidAmerica Basement Systems. Soon, a design specialist was in his home, helping Vance to determine the best route.

Shortly thereafter, Mike Clementz and his team were ready to install CarbonArmor, a carbon fiber product 10x stronger than steel. The attractive strips were installed in the Dunlap, IL basement, providing Vance with a stable basement and an easy mind.

When they had their proactive service appointment with service technician Nathaniel Hauser in August of 2016, he pointed out a few things that could be come concerns later on if they weren't addressed. So, foreman Pete Hensler and his team reterned to the home and installed five PowerBraces alongside the CarbonArmor. The foundation is finally stable, offering the homeowner peace of mind. Peoria Heights homeowner, Frank M., called MidAmerica Basement Systems because water was intruding into his basement. He met with design specialist Fred Romane, and Fred helped Frank design a waterproofing system that would suit Frank's needs, and keep the basement dry. 

Foreman Bill Wilcox and his team installed the system. Frank's waterproofing system includes a partial perimeter WaterGuard, a new SuperSump Sump Pump, with a buried discharge line. The buried discharge line includes the IceGuard attachment piece, and the LawnScape well. The basement is now finally dry, and Frank is very happy!

Carol of Peoria called MidAmerica Basement Systems concerned because a wall in her basement was sinking, the steps were pulling away from the house, and some of the doors wouldn't shut. Carol met with design specialist Dan Garner who evaluated the problem, and designed Carol a custom solution for her foundation issues. Dan recommended installing Push Piers to lift and stabilize the sinking home, and PowerBraces, to stabilize the bow in the wall. Now, Carol's home is safe again.

At a church in Chillicothe, IL, radon tested at levels almost five times higher than the EPA's recommended safe level. Design specialist Fred Romane met with a representative from the church, Ron S. Fred recommended two radon systems for the large building, complete with the exterior aesthetic package. Now, the church is radon-free, protecting all the occupants, including a preschool. 

Returning customer, Max S. of Peoria, had new issues come about in his home. He was pleased with his previous work from MidAmerica Basement System so called for more help with his home. Water and Radon were leaking into his basement and needed to be fixed properly, and soon.

The Crew got right to work in installing the Radon Mitigation and waterproofing systems. The waterproofing system was installed, using WaterGuard piping and CleanSpace liner to direct the water to the TripleSafe Sump pump. Then, the Radon Mitigation system was connected to the sump pump pit, which created a sealed, suction channel that forces Radon through the system to properly discharge from the home, without seepage. Max is again, a very pleased customer.

Over the years, the ground around you home can settle. With settlement, it can cause many issues to your home. On issue is the pressure the ground has on your home’s foundation. This pressure can cause the foundation to bow and crack. This was an issue for Louis B. of Silvis. He had called MidAmerica Basement Systems to get his Free quote on how to repair his bowing foundation walls. It was suggested that he had PowerBraces installed in his basement. PowerBraces are a powerful I-Beam system that can potentially straighten foundation walls back to their original state. PowerBraces use a reinforcement method that distributes the weight of the home and ground evenly, so the home has less stress on it. Less stress on a home, makes for a safe home to live in.

Lynne was having problems with sagging floors. Her dirt floor crawlspace was casing moisture to weaken the floor joists, which was the reasoning for sagging floors. Dan, design specialist from MidAmerica Basement Systems proposed a crawlspace encapsulation with CleanSpace to create a barrier between the dirt ground and floor joists. CleanSpace is a thick liner that creates a moisture barrier between the dirt ground and crawlspace. Eliminating moisture helps prevent weakening floor joists, rotting and even mold growth. 

Bowing walls left untreated can lead to serious matters such as leaking and unstable foundation. For Deena, she quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems before her issue became worse. PowerBraces and CarbonArmor were strategically placed along the floor joist systems of the home to ensure proper stabilization and weight distribution of the home. PowerBraces are an I-Beam system that stops walls from bowing and offers the ability to straighten the wall back to its original state over time. CarbonArmor permanently stabilizes bowing foundation walls, stopping them from worsening. Both systems stop walls from worsening, and can help keep a basement dry if caught early enough. Deena has a stable home that will last as long as her home does.

During Max’s annual service visit for his wall anchor system, service tech Nate had mentioned that there was water leakage in his basement. Nate offered the installation of a waterproofing system to properly address the water issue. The sump pit was then sealed off and a Radon Mitigation system was connected to it. Radon is now pulled from under the home, through the sump pit, and distributed outside of the home. Kirk’s basement foundation is constructed of concrete blocks, and being built on a hill, was causing large foundation failure. The blocks had begun to shift, leaving large gaps and an unsafe foundation for the home. MidAmerica Basement Systems specialist, Mac, suggested installing a PowerBrace system to stop the blocks from shifting, and permanently stabilize his home. Using the wooden floor joist system, PowerBraces are strategically places along the joist system to properly and effectively support the failing foundation and distribute the weight of the home evenly. Cross support beams were placed along the PowerBrace system to address the blocks that had shifted inward, offering more stability for the home. 

One night during many days of rain, Gary’s pump had quit working, leaving his basement flooded.  He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have a new sump installed. While his situation was being inspected, it was noted that the pump was too small to accompany the amount of water that was entering his basement. Gary was offered a new TripleSafe sump to accommodate the entering water, and prevent over working of the pump and reducing over-use of the new pump. The TripleSafe sump also offers a battery back-up to ensure the water will still be pumped out of the basement during pump failures and power outages.

Bill and Marsha were having issues with a small leak in their foundation and reached out to a waterproofing company to address the issue. It was fixed by another company, or so they thought. A few months later the crack had begun to split and leak again. They now contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the crack properly addressed. FlexiSpan injections were applied to the crack, giving a strong bond inside and around the crack. FlexiSpan is made of high-density polyurethane that allows for the crack to expand and contract with the natural movement of the foundation, providing a permanent solution for the leak. 

Over the years Dennis’ driveway had begun to sink, causing the concrete to buckle and crack under the weight. It had caused very many eye sores and he was unsure if there was any way to fix the issue without re-pouring an entire new driveway. He communicated with Cole from MidAmerica Basement Systems to find the perfect solution to the sunken, cracked driveway. PolyLevel was offered to lift and stabilize the sunken slabs, and have a NexusPro Joint Sealant applied to all the cracks. Once PolyLevel fills the voids and lifts the sunken concrete, the driveway once again becomes level. Appling the NexusPro Joint Sealant is then applied to the cracks, offering a permanent seal from water, increasing the longevity of the lifted areas and helping prevent future sinking of untreated areas.

Over the years, the soil under the driveway has left the area unlevel and unsafe to access. To stabilize and level the sunken areas of the driveway, PolyLevel injections are installed. The high-density polymers fill the voids that have been come about, creating a stabilized surface for the concrete. The PolyLevel then expands to lift the sunken areas and level the concrete. Adding a NexusPro Joint Sealant to all areas that have been injected and the areas that have not, allows for protection for the driveway. NexusPro diverts water away from the cracks, and offers a sealant the moves and stays in tacked with the natural movement of the concrete.

David and Sarah have always had a sump pump in their basement, but were beginning to notice water seeping in some sport around the area. They reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to see what was going wrong with their pump. It was noted that their pump was in desperate need of replacing due to the use over the years. Large GeoLock Anchor plates were installed on the outside of the home to anchor the rods and provide the proper support needed to prevent the wall for worsening. The Tieback was than installed against the wall to give the pressure needed to stabilize the wall. John now has a stable foundation and will no longer worry about the crack or the wall worsening.

Mark had noticed some seeping water in the corner of his basement and quickly grew concern about the damages that could arise in his finished basement. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems and asked for help. He was offered a CleanSpace and WaterGuard system to help collect and redirect the water to the existing sump pump. With the extra help from the additional system, seeping water will no longer surface, keeping the basement dry, and reducing the harm to the finished basement.

Leaking, wet crawlspace has caused many issues from homeowners Anne and Gerald. Not only was their crawlspace wet, but mold and mildew had started to grow, and it also left the basement damp. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have crawlspace inspected, in hopes that a resolution would be put into play. Total crawlspace encapsulation with CleanSpace was offered. CleanSpace is a thick, pool-like liner, that completely and permanently seals off the exposed ground from the rest of the crawlspace.
