Uneven concrete can pose safety hazards to pedestrians of all ages. With PolyLevel injections offered by MidAmerica Basement Systems, the hassle of concrete leveling is made simple. PolyLevel is a lightweight, quick-drying, solution for leveling sinking concrete. Poly ports, roughly 5/8-inch in size, allow for the polyurethane to be injected under the concrete slabs, filling the voids, and lifting and leveling them back to proper elevations. The lightweight foam offers less pressure on the ground, providing a more permanent solution over other techniques. The quick dry time of PolyLevel also allows for accessibility to the area the same day as injections.

Sinking, Settling Foundation is Lifted and Stabilized in Coralville, IA

For Caleb, he was concerned about his untreated crawlspace in his home. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the area inspected, and to provide a solution to the area. During inspection, it was brought to attention that the home had begun to settle due to the ground washing out from inside the crawlspace. A Helical Pier system was offered to stabilize the home and protect it from settling anymore. The piers were driven deep into the ground, to a stable bedrock, and provide a permanent solution to stabilizing the home. The helical pier system also offers the potential to lift the home back to its original state with a hydraulics system. Caleb now has a stable and sturdy home for many more years to come.

Newly Built home needs basement Waterproofed in Magnolia, IL

This new homeowner is frustrated that she bought a recently built home that is having water leaks in the basement through cracks on poured-in concrete foundation. She is hoping to finish her basement at some point, so it is very important for her to have a dry basement and to take care of the problem now before it gets worse. Highly qualified crew member Chris Riley had the privilege of helping solve the problem by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is designed not to clog, has a built in 3/8” gap between the floor and the wall to drain wall leaks and a big drain outlet to the sump. The homeowner went with our SuperSump equipped with floor drain built into the lid, CleanPump Stand to elevate pump off the bottom of the sump liner, allowing for some sediments to settle to the bottom of the sump liner without clogging. Also, a Pump alarm was installed, which is a battery-powered alarm that sounds off automatically when the water reaches a level above the point where the pump should normally turn on.  Because the homeowner plans to finish the basement, CleanSpace Wall System was installed. CleanSpace Wall system economically brightens the basement, stops water vapor, drains wall leaks, is very durable and nearly impossible to rip. CleanSpace Wall System is made from inorganic material preventing mold from growing.  Chris did a stellar job and takes pride in that our homeowner will now be able to finish her basement with peace of mind.

Stephanie of Coralville has a sump pump in her basement to keep his basement from flooding. But she started noticing that when it rained heavily, water just wasn’t seeping in from the floor of the foundation. It would come in from the top of the foundation and run down along the wall, causing the floor to become wet. Stephanie thought she was going to need to replace his sump pump with a whole new system.

Upon the inspection from MidAmerica Basement Systems, they assured him he did need a new sump pump, but adding a few products to help with the leaking foundation. The crew installed CleanSpace and WaterGuard to help direct any water that would leak in to the sump pump. Now when it rains heavily, water doesn’t pool on the floor, but instead is properly directed to the sump pump.
