TripleSafe Installation in Coralville, IA

Stephanie of Coralville has a sump pump in her basement to keep his basement from flooding. But she started noticing that when it rained heavily, water just wasn’t seeping in from the floor of the foundation. It would come in from the top of the foundation and run down along the wall, causing the floor to become wet. Stephanie thought she was going to need to replace his sump pump with a whole new system.

Upon the inspection from MidAmerica Basement Systems, they assured him he did need a new sump pump, but adding a few products to help with the leaking foundation. The crew installed CleanSpace and WaterGuard to help direct any water that would leak in to the sump pump. Now when it rains heavily, water doesn’t pool on the floor, but instead is properly directed to the sump pump.

Sinking, Settling Foundation is Lifted and Stabilized in Coralville, IA

For Caleb, he was concerned about his untreated crawlspace in his home. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the area inspected, and to provide a solution to the area. During inspection, it was brought to attention that the home had begun to settle due to the ground washing out from inside the crawlspace. A Helical Pier system was offered to stabilize the home and protect it from settling anymore. The piers were driven deep into the ground, to a stable bedrock, and provide a permanent solution to stabilizing the home. The helical pier system also offers the potential to lift the home back to its original state with a hydraulics system. Caleb now has a stable and sturdy home for many more years to come.

PolyLevel Leaves Driveway Stable and Level in Coralville, IA

Dee was looking to put her home on the market soon, but was having concerns with the sunken driveway. During rainfalls, water would pool in areas of the driveway. Other areas had slopped and cracked, leaving an unpleasant appearance. She reached out to a few other mudjacking companies to have the area lifted, but could not get a response back from anyone. Cole from MidAmerica Basement Systems offered her a solution called PolyLevel. Uses techniques like mudjacking, PolyLevel uses a material that is lightweight, strong, and waterproof. The high-density polymers are injected to fill the voids under the concrete, expand, and lift the slabs. Quick lifting allows for the area to be accessed within minutes of application, and provides the most accurate lift and stabilization for sunken slabs. With a level driveway, Dee can now put her home on the market with confidence.

Bowing Wall Repair in Coralville, IA

Aidan G. called MidAmerica Basement Systems because he noticed two bowing walls in his basement. He knew that fixing it now is always better than fixing it later - the problem only gets worse. He met with design specialist Bryan Nachazel for his free estimate and custom designed solution.

The soultion involved the use of custom-built PowerBraces and WallAnchors. The PowerrBraces would have to be built to accomodate the Michigan basement style (when one part of the basement is lower than the other.) This meant the PowerBraces would have to be dramatically "offset" and joining Cross Beams were used for additional support. Foreman Pete Hensler and team set to work installing the new stabilization system. The foundation of his home is now stable, and Aidan has the much needed peace of mind!

The Basement walls in our home were previously anchored years before we bought the house. Our house was a rental home and I feel that it was somewhat treated like a rental after. The walls are not straight and we were not given any info on how to upkeep or maintain this. Some of this blame is on us because we also did not push the issues or ask more questions. We also have a large concrete slab in the back of the house that is around 15'x20'. This concrete slab has sunk down and is leaning into the corner of the house allowing water to come in more. I was hoping For a quote on how to upkeep the walls and maybe mud-jacking the concrete slab in back. I will tell you the slab is cracked in the center. Thanks for your time Eric
