The sunken and cracked concrete around your Clinton County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. The owner of this Clinton basement is Patricia K, who called MidAmerica Basement Systems because she wanted to stop water from entering her home. The basement has sustained water damage and Patricia wanted someone to explain her options as well as prices. MidAmerica sent an expert and Patricia was soon informed on her options and how much suggested system would cost. The MidAmerica team began working on the space starting with further water damage prevention by installing the TripleSafe. The 3 in 1 sump pumping system is equipped with the WaterWatch which is an alarm designed to alert Patricia in case a problem emerges.
The team installed the WaterGuard system to redirect leaks to the TripleSafe sump pump. The basement walls were lined with CleanSpace liners which is durable enough to resist tears and punctures but flexible enough to encapsulate stone walls. The CleanSpace liner acts as a vapor barrier and is mold/bacteria resistant.
Patricia's basement is unrecognizable! MidAmerica is happy to serve and protect another family by providing a dryer, healthier basement!
Phyllis is the homeowner of this basement in Clinton and she was battling a lot of water problems. Phyllis expressed having water entering into the basement from different areas, sometimes water would come in from the front of the house and other times it seemed like the water was coming from underneath the floor. Not too sure on how to resolve the problem, Phyllis called the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems for options on waterproofing. Mac, a MidAmerica expert, was sent and provided Phyllis with reliable solutions.
With Mike as lead foreman on the project, the first issue the team tackled was water removal. The team installed the TripleSafe sump pump. The 3 in 1 pumping system comes with all the bells and whistles one would want from a sump pump, literally. The TripleSafe is equipped with the WaterWatch alarm system that will alert Phyllis of any problems that may arise.
To address water coming in from the walls, the team installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a waterproofing system that is designed to drain water leaks to the TriplSafe sump pump. The WaterGuard is designed not to clog and doesn't rely on a fabric filter.
To fix water coming in from the floor, the team installed ThermalDry flooring. ThermalDry has raised pegs so that water will run underneath the floor and is directed to the TripleSafe sump pump. ThermalDry is designed as a water barrier and is made of non-organic materials which means it will never rot or allow for mold/bacteria growth.
To prevent leaks from frozen pipes, the experts installed IceGuard. IceGuard prevents flooding from frozen pipes by ejecting water away from the foundation walls. Phyllis is relieved to not have to fret when a it rains and MidAmerica is proud to have provided Phyllis with peace of mind.
Marsha is the homeowner of this Bellevue basement and was concerned with water coming into her basement. She was unsure where the water was coming from. She called MidAmerica Basement Systems expressing that sometimes the water seemed to be coming in from the walls whereas other times it seemed like the water was rising out of the floor. MidAmerica sent Joe Sarb out to inspect the home and explain the best solutions for Marsha's problems. Leading the MidAmerica team, was lead foreman Mike Clementz.
The team installed the patented 3 in 1 TripleSafe sump pumping system. The TripleSafe sump pump is a patented unit that comes equipped with the Waterwatch alarm system. The WaterWatch will warn Marsha if there is a problem which is also triggered if the UltruSump battery back-up system is activated. The UltraSump is the 3rd pump in the TripleSafe system which is designed to switch on in the event of a power outage. The team also installed the UltraSump Battery Switcher, which acts as a second battery to extend the battery pumping time.
Marsha's walls were waterproofed with CleanSpace Liner. An incredibly durable material comprised of 12 mil plastic infused with an antimicrobial additive, called UltraFresh, which wards off mold and bacteria. The CleanSpace is secured into a perimeter drainage system called WaterGuard. WaterGuard is installed to direct leaks away from Marsha's basement floors to the TripleSafe sump pump.
This basement in Clinton belongs to homeowners Kevin and Stephanie B. The first time the homeowners reached out to MidAmerica basement Systems, they had the team come out and waterproof their basement. Their basement stayed dry even after heavy rain season! The homeowners then began to notice their foundation walls beginning to bow. The water surrounding the basement created hydrostatic pressure which pushed against the foundation walls, compromising the integrity of the walls. Pleased with the work MidAmerica Basement Systems provided the first time, Kevin and Stephanie B. called on the experts again, this time to stabilize their foundation walls.
The Design Specialist sent to inspect the condition of the walls and provide a solution, found that the walls did need stabilizing but also found that some of the walls had the potential to be "straightened" over time. Thrilled with the news that not only will their foundation walls be secured, but some of the walls condition could actually improve, Kevin and Stephanie gave the thumbs up!
To stabilize the foundation walls that were of special concern, the experts installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system. This system is made of galvanized steel earth anchors that are embedded into the soil out away from the foundation wall. They are then connected to steel wall plates with galvanized steel rods. Once installed, wall anchors securely hold walls in their current position. The best part is during the dry season, when the anchors can be tightened to allow for improvement.
Now the team turned the focus onto the walls that just needed stabilization. CarbonArmor is a very high tensile material that is epoxied to walls to keep them from bending or bowing inward. CarbonArmor is the only carbon fiber product designed to code so it the best choice for reinforcing foundation walls. Considering that CarbonArmor is stronger than concrete and steel but also has a low profile design makes CarbonArmor a favorite among homeowners.
Kevin and Stephanie now have both a dry and stable basement! MidAmerica are grateful for the homeowners continued business and loyalty.
Don and Gloria from Clinton contacted the experts at MidAmerica basement Systems because they noticed water coming into their basement. Jon and Nancy H. were having an issue with their crawlspace and couldn’t deal with it on their own. They made a call to MidAmerica Basement Systems for a free estimate after meeting with them at the Quad Cities Home Show.
Soon after giving them a call, an appointment was set up with Mike Banks to come take a look at their particular problem. Mike’s solution for their crawlspace was to encapsulate the area with CleanSpace, Drainage Matting, and a SaniDry CX. Encapsulating the area with CleanSpace keeps the crawlspace “critter” and bug free while adding a clean look to the space. The CleanSpace Drainage Matting will filter the water out of the area and the SaniDry CX is a dehumidifier that will keep the humidity down and extra moisture out.
Jon and Nancy H. are very happy with the work MidAmerica Basement Systems did for them. Their crawlspace is no longer an eye sore and will be in great shape for many years.
Stan and Cindy T. had been dealing with water issues in their basement for a while and were fed up with it. They decided to give MidAmerica Basement Systems a call for help and a free estimate.
Soon after giving them a call, an appointment was set up with Joe Sarb to come take a look at their water issue. Joe concluded that the best solution for their particular basement was to install a TripleSafe pumping system, SaniDryXP dehumidifier, BrightWall, and a full perimeter of WaterGuard. The WaterGuard is a channeling system that takes the water from the basement to the TripleSafe. The Triple Safe is the best in the business when it comes to getting water out of the home. It has three pumps and gets all the water up, out, and away from the home. The BrightWall is just one of the walling products offered and is a great way to give the basement a finished look, while also collecting any water from the wall an directing it toward the WaterGuard. Finally the SaniDryXP is not only a large dehumidifier, but also an air purifier that will accommodate the entire area of the basement.
Stan and Cindy T. are extremely pleased with the work MidAmerica Basement Systems has done. Their basement is now worry free and will be for a very long time.
Tom C. was having settlement issues on his patio. He didn’t want it to get any worse so he called the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems for a free estimate.
Bryan Christopherson was the design specialist who went out to the home to give the estimate and explain the PolyLevel process. PolyLevel is the unique process of raising concrete with foam. The foam is injected into certain points of the concrete to raise the correct areas. This is a carefully done process because not only the correct areas need to be raised, but to raise the concrete to the right height is very important.
Tom C. is very happy to have his patio back to the way it originally was. He would recommend MidAmerica Basement Systems to anyone with settlement issues.
Clinton, IA homeowner, Lois M., needed to prep her basement for finishing, and make sure to keep the water out of her basement. Foreman Justin Bailey and his team installed a new TripleSafe sump pump, and a SuperSump sump pump with a patented WaterGuard sub floor drainage system to keep the basement dry, along with a few other things. Then, they installed Basement to Beautiful Panels, which have an insulation rating of R-13. These unique panels are designed with graphite-infused SilverGlo, which provides 24% more energy saving than conventional foam insulation. Needless to say, Lois is happy to have a dry basement that is ready to be finished!
Mike V. of Camanche, IA had a sinking driveway. He called the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems for an estimate with design specialist Clatyton Spinler. After evaluating the property, Clayton and Mike determined the full Concrete Protection Plan, PolyLevel and Nexus Pro Crack Sealing would both fix the problem, and be aesthetically pleasing. The Nexus Pro Crack Sealing looks so great in the pictures, but Mike V. is even happier with the fact that the Nexus Pro adjusts with the temperature to prevent cracking. The driveway is safe, level, and protected against the elements, including the Midwest's ever-changing temperature.
Camanche homeowner, Andrea H., decided that she was ready to increase the value of her home, and add a legal extra bedroom by installing an egress window. She contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems and met with design specialist Clayton Spinler for a free estimate.
Clayton showed Andrea the StakWEL egress system with a pump and exit, and the StakWel Cover. The aesthetic StakWEL egress system looks great, and the StakWEL cover keep debris and water out of the well. The cover also helps increase energy efficiency by trapping hot air that tries to sneak out windows in the winter. Finally, the pump and exit system keeps water out of the well, which effectively keeps water out of the basement. Andrea is very please with her lovely new addition.
Lori S. of Clinton, IA was concerned when she noticed that everytime she walked down the basement steps, her feet got wet. She knew something wasn't right, and called MidAmerica Basement Systems. Lori met with design specialist Cole Tatge who custom designed a solution for Lori's wet basement.

Homeowner Lora of Clinton was getting water in her basement. Every time it rained, steams of water flowed in her basement. She had a drain, but when it rained hard, the drain couldn’t keep up with the large amounts of water that entered, which caused the drain to backup. Not only did Lora has a water problem, but also a foundation problem, where the water problem came from. The foundation had bowing walls from over the years, which caused cracks that lead to leaking.
Bowing walls are a serious matter. If left untreated, foundation issues will worsen, making your home unstable and unsafe to life. CarbonArmor is a permanent way to stabilize foundation walls. To fix the water issue, crew members at MidAmerica Basement Systems installed WaterGurad, TripleSafe Sump, and CleanSpace. CleansSpace is applied to the walls to help direct water to WaterGuard, and WaterGuard directs the water to the TripleSafe Sump, so the basement stays dry. Now that the foundation and basement are stable and waterproofed, Lora will be ready to finish her basement in the future.
Mike was having issues with a leaking basement and decided to reach out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to provide the proper solution. Design Specialist Mike Banks proposed installing CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and a TripleSafe sump. The GeoLocks allow for the system to be tightened over time, to permanently stabilize the wall and straighten it back to its original position. It was also noted that another foundation wall was beginning to bow. CarbonArmor was installed along this wall because it was only showing the beginning signs of a bowing wall. Fixing the issue right away with CarbonArmor will permanently prevent the wall from bowing anymore inward. Kevin now has a stable foundation for his home.
Metal, wooden, and glass block are the most common windows that are installed in a basement. This is because they are the cheapest, but are the least efficient. The TripleSafe than properly releases the water back out of the basement, leaving the area dry.
Over time, the soil underneath concrete becomes compressed, creating voids. When voids become present, the concrete begins to sink, and can crack underneath excess stress. This produces the area to become unsafe and hazardous to access. Injecting PolyLevel from MidAmerica Basement Systems allows for the concrete to become stable and level again. The holes are then sealed off and the sidewalk and driveway are once again usable after fifteen minutes.
