Twila D. of Mc Gregor, IA has ambitions to finish the basement in the beautiful Mc Gregor home, but first needed to address the water seepage in the basement. Knowing that MidAmerica Basement Systems is the local expert, she went ahead and reached out. Soon, design specialist Dustin Shepard was on the scene, ready to help Twila determine the best way to stop the damp basement issues.
Foreman Justin Stoutenberg expertly installed a beautiful new SuperSump sump pump with IceGuard and a LandScape Well, as well as WaterGuard and CleanSpace wall. Now, Twila is very happy to enjoy a dry basement that can one day be finished.
Susan and Terry of Monona, IA own a home that was built in the 1909. Mac designed a custom solution for Susan ad Terry that includes WaterGuard, a WaterGuard Port, CleanSpace Wall, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump. Dan and Susan C. were noticing excessive amounts of water in their basement. They have an older home with a basement foundation constructed of stone wall. Over time, the earth around their home had settled causing small cracks in the basement walls. Settling dirt and clay is more than common, it is the cycle of Mother Nature.
With a quick call to MidAmerica Basement Systems, we were able to help Dan and Susan with their water issues they were having in their basement. The Crew affectively installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump, along with WaterGuard, TrenchDrain and SaniDry XP. The MidAmerica Basement Systems crew didn’t stop on the inside of the home, they extended the project outside as well. Making the project more affective, they installed LawnScape and IceGuard to direct the exiting water away from the home. Now Dan and Susan can feel at ease knowing their basement will no longer be wet.
Melissa’s driveway had a retaining wall that was starting to lean from the pressure of the ground over the years. Because it was a main foundation wall for both her home and garage, it was causing major structural issues. Doors and windows were being to stick and not shut properly, and foundation cracks were starting to form. She made the call to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her issue resolved. Pete and his crew began installing Helical Anchors to the retaining wall. Helical Anchors act as giant screws that are drilled through the wall and into the ground. This creates a permanent hold for the wall that can potentially better the condition of the wall, bringing the wall and rest of the home, back to its original position.
Dwain was looking to have his basement finished, but had to address the water issue first. MidAmerica Basement Systems properly addressed the water issue with the installation of WaterGuard and a SuperSump. While WaterGuard and the SuperSump was installed for the water issue, ZenWall Insulated Panels were installed to give the walls a finished basement look. ZenWall panels are durable and completely washable and provide a thermal break from the cold concrete walls. These waterproof panels will never flake, peel or pull away from the concrete, but instead create a bright, attractive space for your basement.
Alex was having a large issue with foundation cracks, which lead to bowing walls. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have a stabilizing system installed, and permanently fix the issue. A GeoLock Wall Anchor system was implemented to permanently stop the walls from worsening, and offered the option to straighten the wall back to its original position. Galvanized steel roads are driven through the wall and into the ground where they are anchored. GeoLock anchors offer 10 times more contact with the soil to offer the best and most effective hold for the bowing walls. The unique wall system allows for tightening to increase the strength, and potentially straighten the wall and reduce the cracks.
Jeanine and her family live in a home that has been passed down the family, and wanted to keep the longevity of the home alive. The basement would leak every time it would rain due to the home being built in 1917. It was suggested by MidAmerica Basement Systems experts that installing a waterproofing system will extend the home’s life. CleanSpace was placed along the leaking walls to prevent moisture from entering the basement and to direct to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard collects all moisture and water that seep into the basement, and directs it to the SuperSump where it is discharged. A SaniDry XP dehumidifier was also installed to keep humidity levels down, keeping the basement air dry.
Brian had begun to notice horizontal stair-step cracking long his basement wall and quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his issue resolved. During his inspection, it was made aware that the cracks were allowing water to seep in. CleanSpace was placed along the foundation wall to prevent water from enter the basement and direct it to the new drainage track, WaterGuard. WaterGuard than directs water to the TripleSafe to be discharged out of the home. To stop the wall from bowing, and potentially reverse the issue, a GeoLock Wall Anchor system was installed. The GeoLock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize the foundation wall, and allows for tightening, increasing the probability of straightening the wall back to its original position.
Keya was having issues with water pooling in her basement, making it a hassle to keep up with when it rained. She reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement problem looked at. It was offered to her to have CleanSpace and WaterGuard installed around the perimeter of the basement. CleanSpace helps reduce moisture in the area, while WaterGuard collects and redirects the water to the TripleSafe sump. Once the water reaches the sump, it is discharged from the basement, keeping Keya’s basement dry. She no longer has to worry about cleaning up a wet mess.
Ray was concerned with his leaking basement and contacted the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. During his inspection he was proposed a WaterGuard and TripleSafe systems. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to collect and redirect any seeping water to the TripleSafe sump. Once the water enters the TripleSafe, it is properly discharged out of the home, leaving Ray’s basement dry once again.
Donna was noticing a small leak in her basement, and after removing the drywall, realized that the foundation had bowing greatly over the years. One area of the block foundation had shifted inward about a ½ inch, allowing water and other debris to enter in the home. MidAmerica Basement Systems offered her a GeoLock Wall Anchor system to permanently stabilize the wall. The wall anchors offer a solution that allows for the system to be tightened over time, increase the appearance of the wall, potentially straightening it back to its original position. CleanSpace Wall was placed along the bowing, leaking wall to help reduce moisture levels, and to help guide any seeping water into a special drainage track, called WaterGuard. Once water collects in WaterGuard, it is then redirected to a SuperSump to be properly discharged out of the basement, leaving it dry once again for Donna.
Dave was having issues with water seeping in his basement through his limestone foundation. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his situation looked at, hoping for a solution. Dave was offered a CleanSpace Wall and WaterGuard system to affectively address his problem. CleanSpace Wall liner is a about as thick as a pool liner, providing the ultimate tear- and puncture-resistant, vapor barrier. Seeping water is than guided down into the WaterGuard and redirected to his existing sump pump. The CleanSpace also helps reduce humidity levels in the basement, while giving a clean, bright finish.
David was having issues with water pooling up against his home due to a sunk slab. It was growing large concern that the pooling water could leak into his basement, making an even bigger issue. He quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the slab lifted. PolyLevel was injected under the slab to lift and stabilize the sunken slab. Once the PolyLevel was injected, the void was filled, and the material expanded to lift the concrete. The quick reaction time of the PolyLevel allows for precise and accurate lifting, giving the appropriate lift needed. PolyLevel also has a quick cure time that allows for David to access the injected area within minutes of application. A NexusPro Joint Sealant was then applied to the crack to prevent water from seeping down along the foundation of the house, helping in the aid of keeping water out of his basement.
Sue recently had her basement waterproofed by MidAmerica Basement Systems, and she was looking to finish the area. She was offered the EverLast Wall Panel system for the walls. The panels offer a waterproofed material that will prevent it from being ruined by moisture or leaks that could appear in the future.
