Brian and Jackie were having concerns about how they wanted to lift and level their sunken driveway. The transition between the driveway and the garage had become more than a 3-inch difference, but didn’t know who they wanted to do the work. They were given many different options and pricing, but all seem way to expensive. They were ready to give up until the met with Cole from MidAmerica Basement Systems. He offered a solution of PolyLevel that wasn’t only cheaper, but a more permanent and effective result. PolyLevel not only lifts to concrete to the desired height, but offers a material that is completely waterproof so it will not wash away like typical mudjacking slurry. PolyLevel is also environmental friendly so it will never rot and decay over time. Briand Jackie no longer have a sinking driveway, and the transition between the garage and driveway is back to smooth.

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Benton County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. The homeowners wanted to expand their basement window to allow for more light and to provide an easier exit in case of an emergency. Egress windows are critical to home safety as it serves as a second escape in the event of a fire or other life threatening situation.
The team started by digging a space where the old window was to allow for access to the foundation wall. After the hole is dug, the team cuts put a frame for the new, larger Egress. Once the Egress is fitted, the team installs the sun house with lid. The sun house is a special addition as it allows for optimal natural light in the space and the window well system has steps built in to make getting out of the basement easier and faster. The lid provides protection from debris, curious critter etc. Every window well system has a sump liner and exit installed to help keep water out of the basement via the Egress.
The homeowners are excited at how drastic one simple addition has made to the look and feel of their basement! MidAmerica is thrilled to have provided one more family with a safer basement.
Lisa H. had her basement tested for radon and found that the level was very high. She called the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems to come give a free in-home estimate on her radon problem.
Soon after calling them, an appointment was set up with Kiel Marks to come evaluate the basement. Kiel decided the best solution for this particular basement was to install a radon mitigation system and a domed sump pump lid. The domed lid will prevent the air escaping from the sump pit; this will decrease the radon levels in the basement. The radon mitigation system will also decrease the radon level and will show the radon level to the homeowner with a specific gauge attached.
Lisa H. is very happy to no longer have to worry about the air in her home. She would recommend MidAmerica Basement Systems to anyone in need of radon assistance.

They were concerned that they were going to have to replace the whole slab, which could cost thousands of dollars. What they didn’t know was MidAmerica Basement Systems now offers PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a high-density foam that is injected under the concrete to help lift and raise unlevel concrete, back to a level and stable state. Joseph was fed up with his sump pump failing and causing his basement to flood, so he reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have a new sump pump installed. During evaluation, it was proposed that not only installing a TripleSafe sump, but to also have WaterGuard installed. Over the years, the fill soil under concrete slabs becomes compressed creating voids. If the voids become large enough, the weight of the concrete begins to sink into the void, and can even produce cracks, making the area unlevel and unsafe to walk on. With the injection technology of PolyLevel, sunken slabs can be precisely lifted and leveled. PolyLevel uses a lightweight material that reduces the amount of weight that a common mudjacking slurry uses. NexusPro Joint Sealant is applied to the cracks after the slabs have be lifted, protecting the slab from cracking any further. With PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant, concrete slabs become level and safe to walk on once again.
PolyLevel is an injection technology that precisely lifts and levels sunken concrete, and provides a permanent solution to sunken slabs. Similar to mud jacking, PolyLevel offers many more advantages. Smaller holes are drilled into the slab, 5/8-inch holes, and PolyLevel is injected to fill voids and lift the concrete. The lightweight material weighs a fraction of mud jacking, 4lbs per cubic foot (PolyLevel solution) to 120lbs pcf (mud jacking solution), offering less pressure to the soil, providing a longer-lasting solution. Standard PolyLevel uses a lifting force of 2,000 to 4,000 pounds per square foot, making the lifting process quick and effective. The quick cure time allows for access to the injected area within 15 minutes of application rather than days or even weeks during mud jacking injections.

The wall anchors are then drilled through the foundation so the GeoLock Anchors have a way to grab the foundation wall. Wall anchor systems not only provide permanent stabilization for the wall, but also offer the opportunity to straighten the wall back.
