Extreme Impact in Panama
MidAmerica Basement Systems owner Howard Tatge spent 9 days in Panama attending a conference with other Basement Systems dealers from around the world. The purpose of the event was for all the owners in the Basement Systems Dealer Network to get together and learn from one another. At MidAmerica Basement Systems, we believe that consistent learning helps provide the best service in the industry.
MidAmerica Basement Systems also believes that bettering the communities around us is important to community growth. We don't limit this just to the communities we live in. During Howard's business trip to Panama, there was an opportunity presented to assist with an "Extreme Impact" event. The goal of the event was to help impoverished members of a Panama village. The dealers fed the families a lunch, and passed out bags of food and clothing items.
Beyond that, the team tried to help the families take a day to relax. The children got to experience an inflatable bouncy house with a slide, and the owners had a chance to talk to families about their experiences through an interpreter. However, Howard says that "sometimes the smiles and laughter were enough to interpret that the were having a good time."
Howard remarks that it was an amazing experience, and learning about the culture in Panama was an incredible experience. He also brought back a lot of knowledge from other dealers which he intends to use to sharpen the service provided to homeowners in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
