Crawl Space Transformation in Hanna City, IL

Challenge

In Hanna City, Judy C. was unhappy with her crawl space. The crawl space was exposed, damp and had a sump pump system that was inefficient so she turned to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. Judy spoke to Appointment Center Representative, Amy Fox, and they were able to set up an appointment with Design Specialist, Dan Garner. Dan was sent to Judy’s residence to thoroughly inspect the space and provide an estimate. After hearing Dan’s in depth explanation of what services will permanently resolve Judy’s crawl space dilemma, Judy gave the team the go ahead on the project! 

Solution

Justin Bailey was the Foreman leading this project. His team installed an UltraSump pump battery back-up system that included a charging/control box complete with an alarm and a 120 amp sealed maintenance-free battery. They also installed SmartPipe in this crawl space to help direct any water to the sump pump. To prevent discharge lines from becoming frozen, the team additionally installed IceGuard. To further separate the space from outside influences, the team installed vent covers over all vents and installed multiple WallCaps to seal the top of the block wall in the crawl space. They finished up the job by installing CleanSpace Drainage Matting under CleanSpace liner to completely encapsulate the space. The team even wrapped the bottom of the piers! To keep humidity levels low and keep the space healthy, the team installed a SaniDry CX Air System.

The end result is a crawl space that looks amazing! An added bonus to encapsulating her crawl space with MidAmerica Basement Systems is that Judy can actually use the space for extra storage and feel confident that she has the best systems in place keeping her crawl space dry and healthy!
