Waterproofed & Restored Basement in Rock Island, IL
Challenge
From Rock Island the homeowners of this basement are Art and Dorothy H. The couple was referred to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems to address their wet basement needs. The homeowners explained to the team that they have noticed water intrusion coming in from a corner on the basement and other various places. The team sent Design Specialist, Michael Banks, to inspect the basement and offer a quote at no cost to Art and Dorothy.
Solution
The project was led by Foreman, Bill Wilcox. The team installed the patented WaterGuard as the perimeter drainage system to drain wall leaks to the newly installed TripleSafe sump pump. A TripleSafe Sump Pump is designed to keep basements dry all the time. The TripleSafe system includes twin liner, 1/2 hp cast iron AC pump, UltraSump battery back-up pumping system with charging/control box with alarm, and 120 amp sealed maintenance free battery which includes 1 CleanPump stands, airtight lid with airtight floor drain, and WaterWatch alarm system. The team also installed IceGuard to prevent floods from frozen discharge lines and installed TrenchDrain in front of the fireplace. To finish the project and provide a beautiful space, the team installed the EverLast Wall Restoration System. EverLast is made of all inorganic materials and is able to help drain wall leaks to the WaterGuard.
