Palmer School of Chiropractic is committed to providing its students with comfortable and safe living environments. However, one of their student housing units faced a significant challenge: a perpetually waterlogged crawlspace. This issue not only posed a threat to the building's structural integrity but also created a breeding ground for mold and other health hazards. The persistent moisture threatened the foundation of the building, fostered the growth of harmful mold, and compromised the overall air quality of the living spaces above.
Solution
To address this pressing issue, a comprehensive solution was implemented, combining several effective strategies:

Drainage Matting: A network of drainage matting was installed across the crawlspace floor. This matting creates a channel for water to flow towards the sump pumps, ensuring efficient water removal.
